Morning sunlight filtered through the window, illuminating the small room where two figures still lay in a peaceful slumber. Meilin stirred, feeling the warmth of the arms that held her close. As her eyes fluttered open, she saw Owen sleeping beside her, his handsome face serene. Memories of the previous night flooded back – the passionate kisses, the whispered sweet nothings, and the overwhelming emotions, all like a beautiful dream. A gentle smile graced her lips as she reached out to touch Owen's cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin.
"Owen... time to wake up, darling," she whispered, her voice as sweet as birdsong.
Owen's eyes slowly opened, meeting Meilin's smiling gaze. A radiant smile spread across his face, tinged with a playful pout. "Finally awake, are we? I was waiting for you to come to all night."
Meilin chuckled, "Was I out for that long?"
"Long enough," Owen teased, his brow furrowing slightly. "I almost thought you were playing a trick on me."
Meilin playfully pinched his cheek. "Come on, don't be like that. I know you're a man of inexhaustible energy."
Owen huffed softly, but snuggled closer to her. "That's right, you do. From now on, remember that I'm the most important person in your life. Everything you have is mine, including your time."
Meilin grinned, "Yes, oh mighty Owen."
After a moment of comfortable silence, Meilin looked into Owen's eyes. "Owen, about Jackson..."
"Don't mention that name in my presence," Owen interrupted, his voice turning cold. "I've already told you, he's not worth your thoughts. From now on, remember you have me, and I'll protect you from everything."
Meilin understood Owen's possessiveness, but she knew she had to confront her past. "I know, but I don't want to run away," she said firmly. "I want to end things properly."
Owen saw the determination in her eyes. He knew he couldn't stop her, so he chose to support her in his own way. "Alright, but you have to promise me you won't let him hurt you again. If he dares to, he'll have me to deal with."
Meilin nodded, "I promise."
Owen pulled her into a tight embrace. "Good. Now, let's go get some breakfast. I'm starving."
They got out of bed and prepared for the day. Meilin decided to call Jackson and end their relationship once and for all. She knew it would be a difficult conversation, but she was confident she could get through it with Owen by her side.
Owen decided not to discuss his and Meilin's relationship with Shelly since they were just childhood friends. He knew Meilin would tell her anyway. Instead, he focused on being there for Meilin, showing his support and protection.
Over breakfast, Owen kept filling Meilin's plate, urging her to eat. "You need to eat well to keep up your strength," he said, his voice a mix of dominance and affection.
That morning, Meilin called Jackson and ended things. Jackson didn't say much, just listened in silence. After hanging up, Meilin felt a weight lift off her shoulders. She knew she had done the right thing, and she had Owen to share her joy and sorrow.
Later that day, Owen and Meilin took a walk on the beach. The sunset painted the sky in vibrant hues, creating a romantic backdrop. Owen wrapped an arm around Meilin's shoulders. "You're mine, Meilin. Never forget that," he said, his voice both possessive and loving.
Meilin smiled, "I know."
They stopped, gazing into each other's eyes. Owen gently pulled her into an embrace, kissing her hair. "I love you, Meilin."
"I love you too, Owen."
That night, they fell asleep in each other's arms. Owen held Meilin close, whispering sweet nothings in her ear. "Sleep well, my love. If you're not sleepy, just let me know and we can find something fun to do together."
