The dance hall still carried the energy of their practice, but now, the air was thick with something heavier. Excitement. Recklessness. The kind of chaos only a game like Truth or Dare could bring.
Robin stood near the entrance, arms crossed, visibly uncomfortable. His gaze flickered toward the hallway, as if expecting Mrs. Harley to materialize any second.
"No. Absolutely not. We are not playing this," he said, his voice firm.
A collective groan rippled through the group.
"Come on," Nari whined, flopping onto the floor dramatically. "We just finished practice. We deserve some fun."
"Fun?" Robin scoffed. "You think getting caught sneaking around after hours is fun? Because that’s exactly what’s going to happen if—”
"Then don’t get caught," Taehyung interrupted, smirking. "Simple solution."
Even Rosé, who usually played the responsible one, was watching with amusement.
Robin exhaled sharply. "Fine. But no running around, and for the love of god, do not make loud noise."
A few people snickered. No one promised anything.
They sat in a loose circle, the dim lighting from the floating lanterns above casting long shadows on the polished floor.
With a smug grin, Jaemin flicked the bottle with a practiced spin. The circle of students leaned in, eyes locked on the glass as it twirled—faster, slower, slower—before finally stopping.
Chaeng.
Jimin’s voice cut through the noise.
"Chaeng. Truth or dare?"
Chaeng barely hesitated. "Truth."
Jimin smirked. "Do you like someone who's taken?"
The question slammed into her like a wrecking ball.
For a split second, the world tilted.
She could feel everyone's eyes on her, but she wasn’t looking at them. She was looking at him.
Jungkook.
He was staring at her too, his dark eyes unreadable. Something flickered behind them, something he wasn’t saying.
Chaeng’s throat felt tight, but she forced herself to keep her expression neutral.
"No," she said flatly.
Jimin and Taehyung didn’t look convinced. Neither did Jaemin, who sat lazily beside her, watching with that knowing smirk of his.
But Jungkook?
Jungkook’s jaw clenched ever so slightly. His fingers twitched against his knee, like he wanted to say something but stopped himself.
Chaeng looked away first.
The tension was suffocating, but no one addressed it.
"Of course she does," Yoojin murmured, just loud enough for everyone to hear.
The room shifted.
Chaeng’s gaze snapped to Yoojin. "What was that?"
Yoojin tilted her head, an almost amused expression flickering across her face. "You like things that belong to others, no?"
Chaeng felt the heat rise to her face. "I don't."
Yoojin scoffed. "Whatever helps you sleep at night."
The air was tense, everyone watching with keen interest.
Jungkook shifted beside Yoojin, his jaw tightening. "Enough, Yoojin."
