Robin stood by the entrance, his arms crossed as he leaned against the wall, pretending to be unbothered. But his sharp eyes flickered toward the dimly lit hallway every few seconds, his fingers tapping impatiently against his bicep.
He didn’t like this. Not at all.
This game was already a mistake. Breaking into Harley’s office? Bad idea. He was just waiting for trouble to show up—and trouble never failed to make an entrance.
And just as expected, it did.
A sound. Distant footsteps.
Robin’s entire body stiffened. His head snapped toward the door. At first, he thought he was imagining it, but then—
“Check in here too.”
Mrs. Harley’s voice. Muffled but unmistakable.
More footsteps followed—heavy, searching.
Shit.
His breath caught in his throat. He didn’t wait for more proof. He spun around, eyes darting toward the group, and whisper-shouted, “HIDE. NOW!”
The room erupted into chaos.
The spinning bottle clattered onto the floor, forgotten. A chorus of gasps and hushed curses filled the space as everyone scrambled for cover.
“Where? Where the hell do we hide?!” Jaemin whisper-yelled, shoving Jimin aside.
Robin was already blocking the main doors, shaking his head frantically. No one was getting out that way.
They had seconds before Harley stepped in.
Shit. Shit. Shit.
Then, someone—maybe Eun—spotted a door in the far-left corner. The storage room.
"There! Get in!"
A mad rush followed.
Bodies shoved past one another, people tripping over feet, whisper-yelling in panic.
The door slammed open.
Everyone poured in, breathing heavily, eyes wide.
In the midst of it all, Jungkook didn’t think. He reacted.
His eyes darted toward Chaeng. Panic.
She was frozen, looking left and right with wide, frantic eyes, like a deer caught in headlights.
Not on his watch.
Without a second thought, he grabbed her wrist.
Firm. Urgent. No time to hesitate.
“Come with me.” His voice was low, commanding, leaving no room for questions.
Chaeng barely had time to gasp before he was pulling her away from the madness. His grip was strong—desperate, protective.
They darted toward the locker room which was on the other side of the hall.
She didn’t even process where he was taking her, not until he yanked the door open, pulled her inside, and slammed it shut—silently but swiftly.
Darkness.
Almost complete darkness.
Except for the faint glow seeping through the vents, casting eerie shadows across their faces.
Chaeng breathed out sharply. It felt like she had just been thrown into another world, cut off from the chaos outside. Only Jungkook. Only them.
Her back was pressed against the cold metal lockers. He was right in front of her, his chest rising and falling in sharp breaths.
