CHAPTER 43

╰┈➤ After one year

It was morning when the Bhanushali household gathered in the temple for Aarti.

Siya's voice filled the air as she sang the song, while the others stood behind her, joining their hands in reverence, and Reyansh stood apart, his hands folded behind his back.

After finishing the Aarti, Siya applied a vermilion to each of their foreheads and handed them the Prasad.

And, as was his habit, Reyansh took a small bite and handed the rest to Sunansh, who smiled brightly.

After pooja then they moved towards the dining area, to have their breakfast.

"Breakfast me kya hai?" Sania asked, as Sunansh cleared his throat and pointed at himself with a smug smile.

"Me" Sania rolled her eyes and sat on the chair, waiting for the food.

The workers brought in the food and arranged it on the table. "Idli" Sania squealed in happiness, seeing the breakfast.

"Dosa" Myra chimed in, equally thrilled.

"Sambhar?" Avyansh asked, as Siya passed him the curry.

"Chutney, chutney" Sunansh continued, breaking into a playful tune he'd seen in a reel. "Dosa, idli, sambar, chutney, chutney…”

Myra drummed a lively beat on the dining table as Sunansh sang, holding a spatula like a mic.

Sania, ignored the drama and focused on her phone reading notes while eating her food.

"Dosa, idli, Sambhar, chutney, chutney" Sunansh sang, nodding his head to the beat.

"Chutney, chutney" Myra chimed in, providing an ad-lib to Sunansh's song. Siya giggled, enjoying the show.

Reyansh, meanwhile, sat with his arms folded, watching the drama unfold as usual. Avyansh, tired of Sunansh's singing, took a piece of idli and stuffed it into Sunansh's mouth to silence him.

"Muh band kar nahi to teri chutney bana dunga," Avyansh said, stuffing another piece of idli into Sunansh's mouth.

"Kitna boring hai pati tera," Sunansh whispered to Myra, only to receive a smack from Avyansh.

"At least I'm not irritating like you," Avyansh retorted.

"I agree with you," Sania chimed in, still focused on her phone while eating breakfast.

"Sania, first eat your breakfast, then you can study," Siya said, gently putting her phone aside.

Sania wanted to disagree, but Siya's warm smile left her speechless. She pouted, unable to argue with her bhabhi.
