CHAPTER 48

It was early morning, and Avyansh, Myra, and little Yash were sleeping peacefully in their bedroom.

Avyansh stirred slightly, sensing something warm and squirmy on his chest. Still groggy from the constant night waking.

Thanks to their four-month-old son who had a habit of crying without warning,he barely opened his eyes.

"Not now, Myra," he mumbled, thinking his wife was being playful.

"Not now what, Avy baby?" Myra responded sleepily, rolling over.

"Stop being naughty," he muttered, half-smiling.

But Myra, puzzled, opened her eyes and they went wide in shock.

"Yash baby! That's your papa, not your mumma, Come here," she said, gently trying to detach Yash's mouth from Avyansh's chest.

"Huh?" Avyansh snapped fully awake, looked down, and jumped back in horror.

"Why is he taking advantage of me?" he yelled, scrambling out of bed, clutching his chest.

But Yash instantly burst into tears, his tiny face scrunching up

"Aww, my baby, stop crying," Myra cooed gently, scooping him up into her arms and rocking him.

Yet, Yash kept sobbing, his teary eyes locked onto Avyansh like he'd just been denied his rightful breakfast. Avyansh, feeling personally attacked, yanked the blanket over his chest with dramatic flair.

"Maa toh maa thi... ab baccha bhi mere piche pad gaya hai," he muttered under his breath, eyes wide with disbelief as he quickly pulled on his T-shirt like a man reclaiming his dignity.

"Anyways you have bigger than mine" Myra commented pointing at his chest who widened his eyes and dashed to the washroom.

Myra tried to stifle her laugh, while Yash sniffled from her arms, still eyeing his dad.

Everyone was seated around the dining table, enjoying a breakfast filled with laughter and chatter.

Siya glanced at Reyansh, who offered her a warm, reassuring smile that gave her the courage she needed.

She cleared her throat softly, just as Sunansh chimed in "Dekha bhai, aapke saath reh ke aapki bimari bhabhi pe transfer ho gayi," he teased, making Myra burst into laughter.
