CHAPTER 42
As they arrived at the house, they began packing their belongings. Siya, meanwhile, prepared lemon juice for everyone.
With the bus scheduled to arrive at 3 pm, and the clock striking at 2.
"Make sure to pack everything," Siya instructed, stirring the lemon juice mixture. "Don't forget a single thing."
After completing their packing, the family gathered in the front yard, sitting on a cot under the shade of a neem tree.
The cool breeze caressed their faces as they sipped the chilled lemon juice.
Sunansh, finishing his drink, looked at his elder brother Reyansh for a refill.
Reyansh, anticipating Sunansh's request, handed him his glass, earning a smile from sunansh.
"Yaar, Jane ka mann nahi kar raha,"
(yaar, I don't feel like going)Myra commented, sipping her juice making sunansh agree to her words.
"Mujhe bhi,"
(me too)"Ek kaam karo," Sania suggested. "Dono dost milke yahi raho aur khet me kaam karo."
(do one thing, you both friends be here and work in field)Avyansh gave her a high-five and burst into laughter.
"Aaj kal bahut hasne lage ho," Myra said, giving Avyansh a side-eye. He instantly stopped laughing and muttered a small "sorry" to her.
"Aur tumse badi hoon main. Tameez se baat kiya karo,"
(I'm older than you. talk to me with respect)Myra said to Sania, who rolled her eyes and replied, "Thik hai, aunty." (okay aunty)
"AUNTY!!?" Myra screamed, gasping in shock.
"Main aunty to tum budhi dadi,"
(If I'm aunt then you are old-granny)Myra retorted, "Waise bhi, tumhare to baal bhi safed hai."
(moreover you even have grey hair)She pointed out a few grey strands on Sania's head.
"Ye padh padh ke safed hue hai baal mere,"
Sania shot back, implying that her grey hair was a result of excessive studying.“Haan haan” Myra scoffs, throwing the paper cup in the corner.
“Maine to Kabhi tumhe books ke sath nahi dekha”
(I've never seen you with books)Myra raised an eyebrow, folding her arms.
