CHAPTER 45

As Sunansh drove down the road, he found himself humming a familiar tune

"पैसा गाडी बंगला घर~~"

He whistled along, nodding his head to the rhythm. "I need a man who can give me all that,~~~"

he sang, his voice blending with the whistled melody. But his carefree expression was replaced by a frown when he found a familiar person sitting on the footpath.

Sunansh pulled over to the side of the road and stepped out of the car, walking towards the person with a sly grin.

He dug into his pocket and produced a 10-rupee note, holding it  in front of the person's eyes.

Myra's gaze lifted, as she took in the sight of the note, followed by the mischievous face of her best friend.

"Mandir ke bahar baithna tha, yahan kyu bheek mang rahi hai?" Sunansh teased, chuckling at his own joke.

Myra rolled her eyes  at Sunansh's comment. He shrugged his shoulders, a sheepish grin still plastered on his face, and tucked the 10-rupee note back into his pocket.

He then settled in beside her, his expression turning serious as he turned to look at her, his eyes searching hers.

"Tujhe hua kya hai?" he asked, noticing the distant look in her eyes.

"Kuch bhi to nahi," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sunansh's eyes narrowed. "Did my brother do something?" he pressed, his tone firm but gentle.

Myra chuckled and shook her head. "It's nothing like that," she assured him.

"Toh sade hue tamatar jaise shakal leke kyu baithi hai?" Sunansh asked, his tone laced with concern, as he gazed at Myra's somber expression.

Myra's response was swift, her hand shooting out to smack his biceps, "Muh band kar," she hissed, her voice low and warning.

Sunansh's expression turned gentle, his eyes filled with empathy, " tu Aaj kal Itni door door si kyu hai?"

He paused, his voice softening further, "Humne kabhi hamare beech secrets nahi rakhe, toh aaj kyu tu chup hai”

“I'm fine,sunansh”

Sunansh sighed and held her hand, his touch soft and gentle  "Bachpan se janta hu tujhe, kuch hua hai to bol na aise chup chup mat raha kar," he whispered, his voice laced with concern, as he gently pulled her cheeks.
