Chapter 6

"Calum, where the hell are we going" I groaned.

"For the sixth-millionth time, it's a surprise" he deadpanned.

I let out a long, dramatic sigh "fine"

"Wow, way to be melodramatic"

I flashed him a smile

"we found this place when we were kids, me and Octavia" he smiled drumming his fingers on the dashboard to the song playing lightly on the CD, Wake Me When September Ends was on "so when the whole thing went down me and Octavia went there and boarded it up so the biters wouldn't contaminate it"

I had no clue what this boy was on about, I know hes talking about where we are going but I don't even know what it is!

"Biters?"

"The dead thing walking around with the hunger for human flesh, and want to kill us, we call them Biters" he deadpanned.

"You just called me melodramatic, hypocrite" I accused pointing my finger at him.

He chuckled "this world is melodramatic, babe."

Did he seriously just call me babe?

"Babe?"

"That'll do pig, that'll do."

"Jerk!"

"We are here" he announced

He pulled up at a hill, on top of the hill was a boarded up box.

I followed Calum up the hill, still really confused.

"I thought we were getting water?" I asked as he unlocked the padlock and started to open the door.

"We are" he gestured towards inside the boarded up box.

I looked inside to see a well.

"Ooooooh" I smiled absent-mindedly

Calum turned on this torch with some foil and stuff on it.

It lit up the whole thing, it was a homemade lamp.

"You've been staring at this well the whole time, I've already filled all the bottles, and the car up with water." Calum smiled approaching me.

"Sorry" I smiled not taking my eyes away from below the well. "its just so beautiful, hey! ive been with you guys for about a month and a half and you have never showed me this." I pouted.

Calum didn't say anything he just stared at me, a smirk on his face.

I'm feeling butterflies.

"W-what?"

"Oh, nothing just looking at the beautiful view" he smiled at me innocently, giving me puppy dog eyes.

He sure as Sh*t wasn't looking at the well.

My breath got shaky when I felt something soft run down my arm, looked down and his hand was in mine.

I looked back up and his eyes never left mine.

He pulled me closer, and I could feel his warm breath on my face. I tried to focus on controlling my breathing

Something warm and soft came in contact with my lips.

I kissed him back.

I couldn't breathe, I tried but I just couldn't breathe.

He pulled away, and my cheeks heated up.

All I could do was stare at the floor.

Everything went all fuzzy.

I couldn't focus on anything.

"Alex?" he smiled, his cheeks were also red.

We were both just awkwardly staring at the floor.

I couldn't speak, so I just looked up at him.

"Alex, uh-ah-umm" he grinned awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck.

Aw he was so cute when he was nervous.

"Yeah?" I managed to spit out

"w-will you be my girlfriend?" he blurted out.

I just smiled at him, no longer nervous.

"Yes Calum, I will be your girlfriend" i giggled.
