As the Work-Study group materialized aboard Nova, the sleek and futuristic battleship hummed around them. A moment of stillness followed before the rest of Class 1-A erupted into cheers, rushing toward them with overwhelming excitement.
Mina: You guys were amazing! "He exclaimed, practically bouncing on her feet as she grabbed Kirishima by the shoulders". You took down an entire Yakuza group!
Toru was practically vibrating with excitement.
Toru: You guys were so cool!
The sheer enthusiasm of the class was infectious, though Tenya quickly stepped forward, raising his arms to settle them down.
Tenya: Everyone! While their achievements are truly commendable, we must also be mindful of their physical and mental state. They have just returned from a grueling mission and require rest!
Izuku waved his hand.
Izuku: It's okay, Iida. Really. I'm just glad to see all of you again.
Before another word could be exchanged, the sound of small but hurried footsteps echoed through the room. The classmates turned to see Eri running toward them, her small arms outstretched. Without hesitation, she latched onto Izuku, burying her face in his chest.
Eri: Mr. Izuku... is he gone? "she asked in a small, hesitant voice. Her fingers gripped the fabric of his Shadow Hunter attire tightly, her entire body trembling slightly".
Izuku knelt down, wrapping his arms gently around her. His voice was soft but firm, filled with reassurance.
Izuku: Yeah, Eri-chan. He's gone. He can't hurt you anymore.
Eri pulled back slightly, looking up at him with wide, uncertain eyes.
Eri: Really?
Izuku nodded, placing a hand on her head.
Izuku: Really. Like I promised, he will not be back.
A few moments passed in silence before Eri simply pressed her forehead against his chest again. Her grip on his suit tightened even further, and the tension in her small shoulders seemed to ease just a little.
Ochaco knelt beside them, placing a gentle hand on Eri's back.
Ochaco: You don't have to be scared anymore, "she said warmly". You have all of us now.
Eijiro grinned, rubbing the back of his head.
Eijiro: Yeah! And trust me, there's no one tougher than Midoriya when it comes to protecting people. You're in the safest hands possible!
Tsuyu crouched down as well, her tone calm and steady.
Tsuyu: We'll make sure nothing bad ever happens to you again, kero.
Eri hesitated, her small fingers curling into fists as if trying to process their words. She glanced around at all the faces surrounding her, faces filled with warmth and reassurance. Slowly, she nodded against Izuku's chest.
Seeing the moment, Momo whispered to the others,
Momo: Let's give them a little space. This is important for her.
The classmates, understanding, took a step back, watching quietly as Izuku continued to comfort the small girl who had endured so much.
At Midnight:
The soft hum of Nova's systems filled the quiet room as Izuku lay on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. His body was relaxed, but his mind was still alert, sorting through everything that had happened.
