The week had passed quickly since the last major revelation, but Izuku had little time to dwell on it. He had a duty to fulfill, and his focus remained on his work. Shoto, Kendo, and Tetsutetsu had resumed their work studies with him, and the four of them spent their days patrolling the city, responding to any cases they encountered.

Though they came across small-time criminals and occasional disturbances, nothing major threatened the peace, for now.

Even so, Izuku remained vigilant. The threat of the Meta Liberation Army loomed over him like a storm cloud, but he refused to let it distract him from his responsibilities. As they made their way back to Nova, Shoto, who had been unusually silent, suddenly spoke up.

Shoto: Midoriya, "he said, keeping his voice low so Kendo and Tetsutetsu wouldn't overhear".

Izuku turned his head slightly, noticing the seriousness in his tone.

Izuku: Yeah?

Shoto: My old man... he invited you to dinner.

For a moment, there was silence.

Izuku raised an eyebrow.

Izuku: Endeavor? Inviting me?

Shoto sighed.

Shoto: I have a bad feeling about it because he might be up to something. But... It's up to you whether you want to accept it or not.

Izuku thought for a moment. He had no particular interest in sitting at the same table as Endeavor, but at the same time, this wasn't just about him. He knew Shoto was still dealing with a lot of unresolved feelings regarding his father. Perhaps this dinner could give him a better understanding of how things truly stood between them.

Izuku: I'll go, "he finally said". If anything, it might be interesting.

Shoto gave a small nod, not looking entirely pleased but also not arguing against it.

Later that night, the two of them arrived at the Todoroki household. The warmth of the home contrasted with the cool evening air, and as the door opened, Fuyumi Todoroki greeted them with a bright smile.

Fuyumi: Welcome, Shoto, "she said warmly as she looked at Izuku". And you must be Midoriya. It's nice to finally meet you properly

Izuku bowed slightly.

Izuku: Thank you for having me, Miss Todoroki.

Fuyumi waved off his formality as she let them enter inside.

Fuyumi: No need for that, just call me Fuyumi. Oh, and before we go in the dining room... I wanted to say I saw your fight with Shoto during the Sports Festival. "Her expression softened". I know it must've been tough for him, but I also think it was something he needed. So... thank you. And I know you didn't mean to hurt him.
