The next morning, the atmosphere aboard Nova was different. The usual, carefree energy of the students had been replaced with focused determination. The members of Class 1B, now fully aware of what lay ahead, stood alongside 1A in their training gear, waiting for Izuku's instructions.
Some of them still couldn't believe they were actually going to experience the same brutal training that had shaped 1A into the powerful fighters they are today.
Izuku stood in front of them with Ochaco and Melissa at his side. The two girls had just as much authority as he did when it came to training, their expressions just as serious. Izuku gestured toward the large circular doorway that led to the chamber.
Izuku: The drill is simple. We'll be rotating teams for optimal training so everyone will get the guidance they need. "He paused, letting that sink in". This is going to push you to your breaking point. But if you endure, you'll come out stronger than you ever imagined.
Tetsutetsu clenched his fists, the same fire in his eyes that he always had when facing a challenge.
Tetsutetsu: We're ready. Let's do this!
With that, they, along with Shinso, stepped into the chamber. The moment they crossed the threshold, a suffocating weight pressed down on them. Some of the 1B immediately staggered, their bodies struggling to adjust to the intense gravity.
Kuroiro dropped to one knee, sweat already forming on his forehead, while Awase gritted his teeth, his muscles aching just from standing.
Kendo tried to step forward but found that even a simple movement required twice as much effort as normal.
Kendo: Damn... this is too heavy...
Izuku, unaffected by the gravity, walked past them with his arms crossed.
Izuku: Don't fight it. Let your body adjust naturally. The more you resist, the harder it will be.
The 1A students, having already trained under these conditions, moved with ease, demonstrating different stances and exercises for 1B to follow. Melissa and Ochaco observed, stepping in when necessary to correct postures.
After the initial struggle, Izuku split them into smaller groups for individualized training.
Izuku: Shinso, you're with me, "he called".
The violet-haired teen looked surprised but quickly nodded, following Izuku to a more isolated section of the chamber. The others were paired with 1A members based on their quirks.
Ibara trained alongside Tokoyami, who demonstrated how Dark Shadow had evolved through intense training, maintaining control even in total darkness. Ibara experimented with extending her vines to greater lengths, reinforcing their durability.
Tetsutetsu and Kirishima, naturally, engaged in endurance training, each taking turns hitting each other with full force under the heavy gravity. Every impact was heavier, every movement slower, but neither of them backed down.
Kendo sparred against Ojiro, learning the intricacies of close combat. Her large hands granted her an advantage, but Ojiro's tail allowed him to maneuver unpredictably. He forced her to think beyond raw strength, emphasizing technique over brute force.
Kaibara trained with Shoji, refining his rotations to create drill-like movements that could penetrate through stronger materials. Shoji, with his Chimera Form, pushed him to combine speed and power in his attacks.
Shihai was paired with Reiko, and they both used their abilities to control objects and shadows. Izuku had them practice combining their quirks—Reiko controlling multiple objects while Shihai traveled between them like a shadow, striking unpredictably.
