(Okay, I am SOOOOO SORRY!!! I have been working on other works while also dealing with the real world and I worked every moment I could once I got the time. I hope you enjoy!)
So, it's been three weeks since the attack on the North... and me learning about... about my parents... and how my father was of the Fire Nation. Making me Fire Nation too. When I woke up after I fainted, Aang, Katara and Sokka were there to comfort me. They asked what had happened and all that I told them was that Zhao won't be a problem anymore.
Now, we are currently on a boat as the Northern Water Tribe escorts us. I lay awake in my hammock, I haven't told them about me being Fire Nation. Spirits, this is a lot. I massage my forehead, but then hear a gasp and look over to see Aang awake. I quickly pretend I was asleep then after a moment, I open my eyes to see Aang climb up the latter to get to the docks. "Aang?" Oh, now Katara's awake. She follows after him and I lay my head back down. I hold my right arm to look at my bracelet. My mother had this... My father made it for her and he died to save us both. I lower my arm on my stomach then close my eyes. At least I should get some more shut eye. I'll tell them. Some day. (Yeah. And it is a long while away.)
It was soon morning and we all stood on the deck to say bye to Pakku and the other men as we get ready to fly off on Appa. He holds a bag then takes out a necklace, "Katara, I want you to have this. This amulet contains water from the Spirit Oasis. The water has unique properties. Don't lose it." He tells her as Katara takes the amulet. "Thank you, Master Pakku." Katara thanks him as the two hug briefly. I smile at that, it's nice seeing them have a good bond now. Katara then steps away as she gets on Appa. "Aang, these scrolls will help you master waterbending. But remember, they're no substitute for a real master." He tells Aang as he gives him a box containing said scrolls. Aang looks back at Katara then bows his head to Pakku. He goes to get on Appa.
"(Y/N)," I stand up straight as Pakku addresses me. He reaches into the bag and, I gasp. "I heard about how you had invented a new weapon. Seeing as your old one was ruined, I believe you deserve a proper one." He holds out a new bola-knife. I take it in my hands as I examine it, the robe was thinner but strong along with the handle being wrapped in a dark blue ribbon. The blade is of a sharpened and shiny whale tooth, and the final touch is decorative piece at the hilt of the handle: the symbol of the Water Tribe. I look up at him as he gives me a small smile, "I have seen many warriors in my time, but you are unlike any of them. One of a kind." I stare at him. (That's quite the compliment coming from this guy.) Wow. I have never been complimented like that. I look down at the symbol, feeling some guilt because of my heritage but say nothing and nod my head in respect to Pakku.
I then get on Appa and sit comfortably in the saddle. I safely put away my new bola-knife. "Fly straight to the Earth Kingdom based to east of here. General Fung will provide you with an escort to Omashu. There you'll be safe to begin your earthbending training with King Bumi." Pakku informs. Oh, right. We also need to resume our journey so Aang can master the other two elements. Next up is earth and Aang is set on Bumi being his teacher. Sokka gets in the saddle and Aang snaps the reins. "Say hi to Gran Gran for me!" Katara says as we take off. I take a moment to think. The Earth Kingdom. My father is Fire Nation, but my mother is Earth Kingdom. From what I have seen the people of the Earth Kingdom are proud, stubborn and strong. And I have been told I am quite strong. Yeah, yeah, that makes me feel better.
Momo then appears and lays on my lap. I pet his head and scratch his ears to help comfort me. But there is one last thing that's been itching my mind. I look up at the sky, What happened to Zuko?
Zuko's P.O.V.
We have been staying at his resort built over a river to rest. Uncle is enjoying a massage, but I'm not in the mood for spa activities. Because today officially marks that very day. "I see. It's the anniversary, isn't it?" I hear Uncle say next to me. "3 years ago today, I was banished. I lost it all. I want it back. I want the Avatar. I want my honor, my throne. I want my father not to think I'm worthless." I state, looking away from uncle and close my eyes. "Home is supposed to be what makes you feel safe with people that care and love you!" The words of that girl plays in my mind. I shake my head, she doesn't understand. She doesn't... "I'm sure he doesn't. Why would he banish you if he didn't care?" Uncle says. I give him a look then stand up and walk off.
