The sun beaming down on me from outside of my window is what woke me up in a dripping sweat. I tend to forget to shut the curtains before I go to sleep sometimes and last night was one of those nights. I always regret it in the morning though, because the sweat that I was drenched in. I groaned and threw my blankets off of my body before getting up to change my clothes. I peeled the gross, sticky, sweat covered shirt off of my body and put my Piggly Wiggly shirt on before making my way downstairs. "Good morning, sunshine!" Cate greeted me happily.

"Hi Cate," I smiled sleepily.

"Erin, please make yourself presentable," My mom begged. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. Why did I have to do that? I was in the confines of my own home and it was only eleven in the morning. What did she have planned today?

"Why?" I asked, shoving a piece of bacon in my mouth.

"Joy, David, Calum, and Michael are stopping by for brunch."

"Okay, so? I've already met them. Why do I have to make a good impression?"

"Because Calum's other two friends are coming with them, and they are boys your age, so wouldn't you want to look good for them?"

"Honestly, mom, I couldn't care less," I shrugged.

"E, you should probably put some pants on," Kevin commented, walking in the kitchen and wrapping his arms around Cate from behind. I looked down, noticing that I did only have a shirt on and no pants.

I shrugged. "When are they coming?"

"Soon," My dad said, walking in the kitchen looking dapper as usual. "We told them to just walk in and make themselves at home once they decide they are ready to come. So they could come at any point in time, so I would suggest putting pants on."

"I am in the confines of my own home! I should not have to put pants on," I scoffed.

"Well, when there are three eighteen year old boys and one nineteen year old boy, that you barely know, coming over for brunch, you should usually be wearing more than a t-shirt and underwear, Erin," my mother scolded me.

"Hello!" I heard Joy call out and heard a chorus of voices after the door slammed shut. I stopped mid-chew and looked down at myself, realizing that I did have very cheeky underwear on, and I should indeed put some shorts on. I threw the piece of half eaten bacon on the plate and tried to find a way to the stairs without running into these people that I barely knew, and the two guys I did not know, at all.

"In the kitchen!" My mom called out happily. I shot her a glare, her knowing that now there was no way to get upstairs unless I faced these people, pantsless. Joy, David, Michael, Calum, and two other guys that were no doubt, very attractive, stopped in their tracks when they saw me standing there, eating bacon, with no pants on. "I apologize for her. She was just going upstairs to put some pants on." My mom shoved me away from everyone and I sprinted away, up the stairs, and to my room. I could hear Cate and Kevin laughing loudly, making me even more annoyed.

I quickly pulled on my black jean shorts and looked in the mirror at myself. I looked like I was still half asleep, so I put on a small amount of mascara before running back down the stairs. Kevin and Cate noticed me first, still laughing at me. I punched Kevin's arm harder than I intended to and smiled innocently at him when he yelped out in pain. "Good, you're slightly presentable," my dad said, amused as well. "Erin, this is Luke and Ashton. Ashton and Luke, this is my daughter, Erin."

"It's nice to meet you," I smiled at them. "Sorry about my, um, pants situation. I wasn't aware that people were coming over."

"That's alright!" Ashton said happily. His dimples popping out when he smiled largely at me. He ran his hands through his hair and I couldn't help but notice how big and puffy it was. I wanted to run my fingers through it, but decided against it because that would be boarder line inappropriate since I just met the guy.
