I looked at myself in the mirror for at least ten minutes, wondering what my body was missing. My hair was fine, my boobs were fine, my legs were fine, my nose was fine with the silver nose hoop in it, and my stomach was fine. Wait. My stomach was missing something. A piercing. That's what it is missing. I smiled to myself and remembered number twelve; get a piercing. I clapped my hands happily and pranced around my room as I listened to Heart-Shaped Box by Nirvana. "She eyes me like a Pisces when I am weak. I've been locked inside your heart-shaped box for weeks. I've been drawn into your magnet tar-pit trap. I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black."

"Wow sis, you really got some good moves." Kevin laughed, scaring the shit out of me. I jumped up in fear and screamed at the top of my lungs.

"Kevin!" I shouted at him angrily, pausing the music on my phone. "You're such a dick!"

"Anyway," Kevin rolled his eyes, pushing himself off the frame of my bedroom door. "Are you coming with us for lunch?"

"Who is us?"

"Me, mom and dad, Cate, Lucille, and Carl," Kevin told me like I should have already known this. I probably have been informed about this, but it most likely slipped my mind. Going to lunch with everyone is not what I had in mind today. Getting my belly button pierced is what I had in mind today.

"Actually, no. I have other plans today."

"Well okay," Kevin shrugged and started backing out of my room. "Have fun with whatever it is you have planned. Love you."

"Thanks! Have fun at lunch. Love you too." I yelled to him. Once he was out of my room and I heard my parents yell goodbye to me, I turned my music back on and danced around my room for a little longer. I got tired of that easily and decided to get ready for the day. I showered while listening to music and let my hair dry once my shower ended. I applied a small amount of mascara and walked into my closet to find something to wear. I chose a pair of plain jean shorts and a white cropped top with a black bra under it. To complete my outfit I slipped my black beat up high top Converse and grabbed my purse before checking myself out in the mirror. I decided I looked decent enough and smiled at myself before waltzing downstairs and out the front door, locking it behind me.

I ran across the street and stopped when I reached the Hood's front door. I rang the doorbell and rocked back and forth on my feet as I waited for someone to answer. Joy swung the door open and smiled at me, motioning for me to enter the house. She held up her pointer finger at me as she continued her phone call with whoever she was talking to. I sat down on one of the stools by the island and spun around in it as I waited for Joy to end her phone call. Luke came down, looking sleepy as he rubbed his eyes. He smiled and waved when he saw me. I stopped spinning and waved to him, smiling widely at him with teeth and everything. Joy ended the phone call and sighed heavily. "I apologize about that. Someone from my work called me, yelling frantically about something that I have no interest in. But they would not shut up."

"That's okay," I laughed lightly.

"Good morning Luke," Joy smiled at him.

"Good morning, Joy! Lovely to see you this fine morning."

"Likewise," Joy rolled her eyes but smiled. "So, Erin, what brings you here?"

"I was just wondering if Calum was doing anything today. My family and the Kirker's went to lunch and I overslept." I lied. I didn't want to tell her that I ditched lunch to get a belly button piercing.

"Well, Calum, Michael, and Ashton went out for the day. They left Luke here because he wouldn't wake up in time."

Joy's phone rang again and she sighed, excusing herself and exiting the kitchen, leaving Luke and I. "Are you doing anything today, Luke?"
