14. Go on a Road Trip

Waking up next to Luke on the beach was nice. I'm sure waking up next to Luke everyday is nice, but this was still particularly nice. I woke up him up at around ten in the morning because people were starting to come to the beach. We got up and walked to my house to see if my mom was home. Her car wasn't there so we walked inside and went straight to my room. Once we were inside I opened my desk drawer and took out the bucket list, crossing off number eighteen; sleep on the beach.

"Do you cross each thing off after you've done it?" Luke asked curiously as he made his way towards me. I nodded my head and folded the list, putting it back in my desk. I walked away from Luke and to my bed to check my phone. I had seventeen unread messages and ten missed calls from Kevin. Seven from Kevin, three from Cate, three from Luke, one from Ashton, one from Calum, and two from Michael. I sighed and opened and read them all.

Kevin: Where are you?

Kevin: Why is mom freaking out?

Kevin: Why isn't dad home?

Kevin: Erin where the fuck are you and why aren't you answering my texts?

Kevin: Jesus Christ I'm starting to panic Erin call me please

Kevin: Please don't be dead. We don't need to deal with another death. Especially not you.

Kevin: Mom just told me everything. Really Erin? You really went about telling dad and confronting her like that? You're so immature and I'm mad at you but please be safe okay I love you.

Cate: Where are you? Your brother is freaking the fuck out dude.

Cate: Erin Marie Roberts!!!!!!!!

Luke: Hey are you okay?

Luke: Errrrrriiiiinnnnn

Luke: Erin please answer me ur brother is freaking out I'm coming to search for you.

That's probably when Luke found me at the beach. I feel bad for scaring everyone.

Ashton: Why aren't you answering anyone's calls or texts?????

Calum: ERIN PLEASE CALL ME IF U SEE THIS!!!!

Michael: Hello please answer my text or Cal's or Ash's or Kevin's or Cate's. Luke just went to look for u.

Michael: E Marie!

I only texted Kevin back because I'm sure Luke texted the guys and told them he found me and that I was slightly okay.

Me: I'm fine. Sorry I didn't bring my phone when our mother kicked us out of the house for the night. Didn't mean to scare you. Love you.

I locked my phone and threw it on my bed. I laid back and rubbed my face with my hands. "Sorry I scared you all last night. That wasn't my intention."

"It's okay," Luke shrugged and laid next to me on my bed. "We were just worried, that's all. I knew you were probably fine, but I wanted to make sure."

"Thanks," I smiled and looked away from Luke to my ceiling. I sighed and started thinking about everything that happened the last twenty-four hours. I basically ruined my parents marriage and now my whole family is pissed at me for it. Great. "What are you doing tonight?"

"Most likely nothing. Why?" Luke asked, turning his head to look at me.

"Let's go on a road trip. You, me, and the rest of the guys. I know this really gorgeous secluded beach that's like three or four hours away from here. I think we would have a great time."
