Family brunches are not my ideal situation. I wouldn't call that my idea of a good time, but if it pleases my mother, so be it. Kevin, my mother, my father, and I are all sat around my dining room table, scarfing down delicious bagels, toast, hashbrowns, and whatever other brunch foods you can think of. My mother overcooks, meaning, she will cook a meal for fifteen people when in reality, there's only four people eating. With that being said, after we've all finished our food and cleaned up the table and have done the dishes, my mom puts all the leftover food into containers and makes me deliver them to the Kirker's house. But since the Hood's are in the neighborhood, I have to deliver them leftovers as well. Who would even want leftovers? That's my question. "Okay, Erin, go give these three to Carl and Lucille and these four to Joy and David."

"Why do Joy and David get more than Lucille and Carl?" That doesn't seem fair, now does it?

"Because the Hood household has four growing boys in it and the Kirker household only has Cate," my mother made a good point and I couldn't argue wit that. I nodded my head and stacked all of the containers on top of each other before exiting my house and making my way across the lawn to the house I am almost too familiar with. I turned the knob, praying it was unlocked, which is was, and walked inside. "Hello! Anyone home?"

"In the kitchen!" I heard Cate's voice call out. I kicked the door shut behind me and walked through the large house to the kitchen. Cate was sitting on the counter top, looking intently at her phone, Lucille was rummaging through the cabinets for God knows what, and Carl was nowhere to be found.

"Hi Erin!" Lucille said happily. "What brings you here?"

"My mother made brunch, so you know what that means," I laughed, setting down the three containers next to where Cate was sitting. The Kirker family is used to my mother and her copious amounts of food when she gets in her cooking zone, as for the Hood family... I'm not too sure they know about that.

"Of course she did," Carl laughed, coming out of nowhere. "Thank you very much for the food, Erin. Would you like to join us and eat?"

"That's okay, I just ate a lot. And I have to deliver these four to the Hood's. Thanks for the offer, though." I said goodbye and walked out of the door, crossing the street to the Hood's house. It was already almost noon, so I was hoping I wouldn't be waking anyone up or interrupting anything that was going on. I knocked lightly, hoping that would be loud enough for someone to hear. Shortly after, Joy opened the door with a wide smile on her face.

"Erin! So nice to see you! Come in!" I've gathered that Joy is one happy person and she's nothing but all smiles. I like that about her. She's very friendly and I can see where Calum gets his happiness and friendliness from. I followed Joy closely because this is the first time I've ever been inside the house. It was really nice, similar to mine, but with some minor differences.

"Mum! We're starving!" Calum whined like a child, causing me to roll my eyes.

"We have company!" Joy hollered happily.

"Who did you invite over this time?" I heard an unknown voice of a female. Joy came to a stop when we reached the kitchen and a very pretty girl, probably around Kevin and Cate's age, was sitting next to Calum at their kitchen island. Luke, Michael, and Ashton were sitting at the table, all of them drinking orange juice.

"Mali Koa, this is Erin. Erin, this is my daughter Mali Koa, but you can just call her Mali. She's only staying for the week until she goes to visit her boyfriend a few hours away from here."

"It's nice to meet you," Mali smiled at me. "I've heard a lot about you. Calum and his friends haven't stopped talking about how fun and hot you are. And I don't know about the fun part, but they were right about the hot part." Mali winked, earning a scolding from Joy and a laugh from me.
