ii. TAKE ME TO CHURCH

✢ ✢ ✢

After the recent revelation that Kate Argent was supposedly back from the dead, something Araya had known all along, the Calavaers had unshackled Scott and Lydia, let Foster go, and released Stiles, Malia, and Kira. Essentially, they had made Foster harm her boyfriend, and possibly break his trust, to make him answer a question they knew the answer to. It would suffice to say that Foster was downright livid.

She was going to keep her lips sealed until they were out of the hell hole that was the Calaveras home and apparently nightclub, knowing that she could get them all sent back in with the wrong use of words.

Malia, Lydia, Kira, Foster, and Stiles were currently waiting outside of the the building as they spoke, various hunters standing around them. Lydia and Foster were both leaned up against Stiles' jeep, the two girls continuously gravitating toward one another.

After the loss of Allison, the two girls were practically attached at the hip. They had each lost their best friend, and although Foster's loss wasn't in the same sense as Lydia's, she understood what the strawberry blonde was going through. Besides, Allison was close to Foster too. Maybe not as close as she was with Lydia, but Allison was one of her most trusted friends in Beacon Hills. It felt wrong to carry out her days without the huntress.

Foster's head peaked up when she noticed Araya along with other hunters leading Scott down an alley way and in their sight. Foster's face lit up, her smile soon turning into a frown when she realized that Scott probably wouldn't even want to talk to her after what happened. How was she supposed to face him? She turned the dial on him, but he told her to and she had no choice. There was absolutely nothing she could do about it.

For a moment, Araya spent a long moment speaking with Scott, none of them able to hear what they were saying except for Malia. Who went into an explanation about what just occurred between the wolf and the hunter. It appeared that Araya was going to let Scott go free, but the moment he bit an innocent, she would be knocking down his door and taking his life. That meant they had nothing to worry about with the Calaveras considering Scott would never purposefully steal an innocent's life. His life was changed with a bite, and Foster knew he wouldn't do it to someone else unless absolutely necessary.

When Scott turned in their direction, Foster's eyes widened in horror, her heart beginning to hammer in her chest. She couldn't face him, she felt ashamed with herself. How could she have done that? How could she turn the dial on one of the few people she cared about most in her life?

Her head snapped in Lydia's direction, hissing in fear, "What if he's mad at me?"

Lydia shot Foster a knowing look, although Foster was too panicked to even read her expression correctly. "Foster - "

"I turned the dial on him," Foster breathed out, running her hand over her face. "Oh, my God. He's got to hate me. I'd hate me. What kind of girlfriend does that?"

Lydia rested her hand on Foster's shoulder, rubbing her bicep comfortingly. "Foster," she cooed, "I can assure you, it's fine."

Foster shot Lydia an unassured glance, her heart hammering rapidly and violently. She was pretty sure it was on the verge of exploding as Stiles broke away from the four girls, approaching his best friend when he finally neared.

"What now?" Stiles questioned, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

"She thinks she knows where we can find Derek," Scott explained, Foster's brows furrowing despite how nervous she was. If she weren't freaking out as much as she currently was, she probably would have made a sarcastic remark at the expense of the Calaveras, but she was. She was very much freaking out at this point in time.
