xi. NERFARIOUS DEEDS

✢ ✢ ✢

While Foster wasn't necessarily shocked that it was none other than Peter Hale who practically ambushed her as she exited the McCall residence, she was in a state of panic. She had turned a blind eye to everything he had said and done to her, acting as though his plan to kill Scott would never catch up with her.

Now, it was.

Which was why she found herself being lead into the sewers of all places, the girl's nose crinkling in disgust in regards to the foul smell. She had tried to pry herself away from Peter, but he had kept an iron grip on her. Not to mention that, once again, he threatened to tear apart her father in the most gory and gruesome way he could imagine.

Upon those words, Foster was quick to oblige.

She detested the situation that she had been put in. Being force to chose between two people that she loved deeply, it was tearing her apart. Her only problem was that she just didn't know how to get out of this situation. How was she supposed to get out of this thing when Peter was so clearly dead set on having her bring her help into his plan of action.

Which lead to Foster being met by the face of Kate Argent yet again, this time Foster even more less than pleased. Last time she encountered the sociopath, she had dug her claws into Foster's torso, and she was confused as to why Peter was meeting with her seeing as he was the one who initially tore her throat out. Not only that, but she burned his family alive and put him in a comatose state.

"I supposed you're hiding down here because it will cover your scent?" Peter acknowledged, the werejaguar covering her face in the running water of the sewer. Upon their arrival, Kate shot up, her facial features hardening. "But I can smell a rat. Even in a sewer."

She held her hand back, her Berserkers growling menacingly upon their arrival. Kate quirked a brow at the two, her gaze locked on the blonde stationed beside Peter. She was aware of how Peter was using Foster, she was the key to their plan's success.

"It's getting worse, isn't it?" Peter inquired, Foster watching the man beside her in pure confusion. "The surges of anger. The loss of control. You know, I used to get angry. As a kid, I would even break my own toys in little fits of rage and then I'd ask myself; why break my own toys when I can break someone else's?"

"Stop pitching and just tell me what you want," Kate deadpanned, tired of Peter's endless monologues that left everyone wanting to fall asleep.

"Obviously we are in a position of mutually assured destruction," Peter spoke, Foster watching him in horror. He was going to ask Kate for help too, wasn't he? He was going to wrap her into working with the two people she feared most in Beacon Hills at this point, and all she wanted to do was dig herself a hole and hide in it.

Kate chuckled at that, musing, "I'm not so sure the scales are that balanced."

Peter pursed his lips, voicing, "Probably true, but I know you want to get the family back together. The return of the Argents to their glorious power, am I right? Did you know, you can't go back unless you exhibit absolute and total control. I can offer control, I can teach you."

Foster watched this scenario warily, wondering why Peter was so willing to help Kate Argent out of all people. She put him in a catatonic state years ago, she burned him and his family alive. She wasn't a friend, she was a foe. Even to someone as malicious and vile as Peter Hale.

"So, you're willing to teach me in order to get what you want," Kate spoke, understanding his words. "Which is what?"

Taking a stride toward her, Peter voiced, "Obviously, I want my money back."
