Chapter 5
Jessica's pov
"It can be." He said.
"Coffee? You just want to talk about.. The thing."
"Well.."
"Take me to Starbucks and we aren't calling it a date. Deal?" I offer.
"Deal."
"So when are we going?" I ask.
"Now." Oh. Alrighty then. We both hop out of the bed and throw on our clothes. I'm dressed before him and down the stairs waiting by the door.
When he gets there I've already combed through my hair with my fingers.
"Ready?" He asks. I nod. We walk out and get in his 'car'. I don't consider that a car. He's got a fucking Ferrari.
The whole ride is silent and I think about what he asked. Did it feel how it felt before? Surely it didn't. But there's the slight chance..
He pulls up to Starbucks.
We go inside.
"What do you want Jess?"
"Uhm... Mocha frap?" Shït. There's no question to that. "I mean, mocha frap." He tilts his head then nods. After placing our order, he got the same thing as me, we sit down.
I'm shaking due to my nerves. Fuck. I hope he doesn't notice.
"So.." I say.
"So.. Did you... Ya know.."
"Actually, no, I don't know." I respond. He spends a minute thinking. "Can you just spit it out? I'm dying here."
"We dated before.. And I know I felt the, quote on quote, 'Sparks'. And I think you did too.. And I was wondering.. And even though you were the one who broke up with me.. Did.. Did you feel them this time?" Oh shit. Shit shit shit.
I shrug not knowing how to answer. And I feel horrible about that one shrug because right now is one of the rare times he's innocent and weak and vulnerable.
"Luke.. I'm your sex slave.. This can't be a relationship.. I mean what about Calum and Ashton and Michael?" I say.
"They don't care about you like I do."
"Luke.. I can't do this." I sip my mocha. "..can we go home?" He thinks about this for a moment then shrugs.
"Fine. But it's still my day, princess."
