Strange Way To Meet You: A Logan Henderson Love Story

Chapter 7

My surroundings were unfamiliar the next morning and that was when it hit me. 

Logan and Crystal

I packed up

I moved out of Logan’s house 

I’m in a hotel

 I shook all my emotions away and went to fill out the paperwork for my new apartment; I didn’t even get the chance to tell him I got a place. I hope he gets my note.

What’s done is done and there is no turning back. I’m going to miss him.

Logan’s POV

My head is killing me. What the fuck did I do last night? All I remember is meeting the guys for some drinks and then Crystal… FUCK!!! I have to remember what happened! 

“Good morning sweetheart” Crystal said putting her left hand on my chest. I noticed she had a ring on her finger. Did I marry her? “Last night was amazing!” she tried to kiss me but failed as I moved away from her.

“C-Crystal did we…”I pointed to the ring “Did we get married?” 

“No but we had the best night ever, don’t you remember? Mmm the things you did to me last night!” this can’t be happening. FUCK where is Blue? 

I put my sweats on and ran to Blue’s room. I knocked but no answer so I opened the door. I was in shock from what I saw. All her stuff was gone. There before me was an empty room and on her bed were the keys to my house. Damn it Henderson you really messed up. You spent the night with a woman you don’t love. 

I went back to my room and Crystal had my shirt on. She came up to me and placed her hands on my chest. She tried to kiss me once more but I stopped her.

“Listen Crystal… I am so sorry but I think you should go home”

“It’s because of her right? That little fucking bitch” she screamed at me. I looked down, she was right! ”Don’t lie to me it has always been HER! Do you know how hard it is to keep your mind away from her?”

“Please calm down!”

“Don’t you dare tell me to calm down! Every day Logan, every fucking day I have to sit and listen to you yap about her and I’M TIRED!” she took the ring off “I wanted you to look at me the way you look at her, but now I know that would never happen! Last night you even called me by her name. I tried to let it go but I can’t! YOU ARE DEAD TO ME LOGAN HENDERSON… DEAD!” she threw the ring on the floor and slapped me hard across the face. She grabbed her things and now was out of my life.

I grabbed the ring from the floor and made my way to the kitchen.

On the counter there was a chocolate cake with a note underneath.

Happy birthday Logan! I made this cake for you; I know it’s your favorite. I know we haven’t talked much after our “movie night” but, I hope you’re doing well. I wanted to talk to you last night and give you the big news. I got a place of my own. I know it’s for the best. Now nobody will get hurt.

 I was also looking forward to sharing this yummy cake with you but the whole neighborhood and I got a hint that you were a little too busy, so enjoy.

“NO, NO, NO Blue please come back!” I yelled as I finished reading the note she left.

This can’t be happening. What am I going to do? I told her that I wanted HER and not Crystal. After last night she’ll never believe me. She’ll never come back. I’ll never get to know if she feels the same way about me. 

I took the cake and threw it across the room. I started to hit the wall as the tears started to fall.

“Henderson you always fuck up somehow damn it!” I slid down the wall with my head in between my knees “Please, please come back I meant every word I said to you that night!” 

I heard a knock on the door and quickly got up. Maybe it’s her! I was disappointed when I saw Kendall come in.

“Oh hey man! Where is Audrey?” 

“she left!”I lowered my head 

“Why?” he said coming into the kitchen “Whoa what happen in here?” I handed him the note 

“You’re engaged? And why are there air quotes around movie night?”

“I was engaged!” I said emphasizing the was “Last night after you guys left the bar everything is a huge blur, all I remember is meeting up with Crystal and apparently a lot more happened. And about the ‘movie night’ me and Blue were watching a movie and we ended up doing more than that. She said that she knew what being cheated felt like and she didn’t want to hurt Crystal.” I sighed “What if I hurt her? What if I’ll never get to see her again? Does she even have feelings for me? she didn’t even say goodbye!”

“Logan calm down and give her some time. You don’t know what’s going through head right now”
