I knocked on Malia's bedroom door not hearing a sound.

"I'm coming in." I called out before opening the door.

I opened the door wide enough to see Malia sitting down with her knees to her chest and her arm against her knees.

She looked up at me with the saddest eyes that almost made my heart break.

"Malia. Are you alright?" I asked coming over to her and sitting beside her against the bed.

She nodded her head.

"I'm fine." She mumbled staring off into space.

I sighed knowing she wasn't telling the truth.

"How about we spend some time together. Just me and you." I mentioned to her.

"Really?" She asked looking over at me.

"Really." I nodded my head.

She smiled a little bit before getting up.

"Okay." She said.

"Get dress and I'll be waiting for you downstairs." I told her getting up and leaving her room not before shutting the door though.

Even though Malia's not really my daughter I sort of in a way feel like she's mine. It upsets me to know that she's upset and trust me I know how it feels to not have a father around.

I've decided to take her to the zoo since she loves animals a lot and it's something she enjoys.

"We're about to leave." I told Diana once I walked into the kitchen to see her eating again. Notice I said again.

"Okay I hope she has fun." Diana replied stuffing chips in her mouth.

I smiled and shook my head.

"What? The baby has to eat." She whined sticking her tongue out at me.

"Yeah , yeah you know you been eating like that even before you were pregnant." I laughed as I watched her eat.

She rolled her eyes.

"I can't help it. I love to eat." She replied back flicking me off.

Before I could say anything back Malia came into the room.

"I'm ready!" She exclaimed with a smile on her face.

The biggest smile was on Diana's face as she looked up at me.

I made a goofy face at her before kissing her cheek.

"I'll see you later baby." I said walking over to Malia.

"Bye mommy." Malia said waving at her.

"Bye babies." Diana smiled. She would've waved if she didn't have chips in her hand.

After we said goodbye to the twins we left the house and headed to the zoo.

"Ooooooo look at the monkeys!" Malia exclaimed running off.

"Malia slow down dang girl." I said chuckling a little bit.

Once I got closer to look at the animal I realized it wasn't a monkey.

"That's not a monkey." I told Malia.

"Then what is it? It looks like one. Are you going nuts?" She asked making me laugh.

"No. It's a orangutan see." I answered her pointing to the clipboard that had the information on the animal.

"Ohhhhhhh. I see. I'm hungry." She told me holding her stomach.

I nodded my head and grabbed her hand.

"Okay let's go to one of those food stands." I said pointing over to a food stand.

She nodded and followed closely behind me as I still held onto her hand.

After ordering our food we made our way over to one of the benches and sat down.

Malia pulled on my shirt making me turn to her as she sat next to me.

"After my daddy passed away where did he go?" She asked taking me by surprise.

I didn't know how to answer her as I stared at her silently.

"Um he went to a good place called Heaven." I answered her.

"What's heaven?" She questioned with her eyebrow furrowed.

"It's a place where all the good people go when they pass." I replied back.

"But my daddy wasn't good. Mommy was crying because of him." Malia mumbled while staring down.

"Listen Mal your father was a good man he just didn't make the right choices. He made a bad choice to make your mother cry." I explained to her as best as I could.

"Okay." She said making me sigh of relief because was done badgering me.

Malia and I heard someone clearing their throat and we turned to see someone sitting across from us.

The sun was in the way so I couldn't really see who it was.

I repositioned my head and I nearly jumped off of the bench when I seen my brother sitting in front of me.

"Trey..." He trailed off.

"What are you doing here?"
