"Are you sure you wanna do this now?" Forrest asked me as we talked out in the hallway.

After a little bit things settled down , the baby got tested , and Diana is spending some time with him. I couldn't be even more happier than I am right now. Diana just gave birth to my son and I'm finally a father. Things couldn't get much better than this besides one other thing...

"Yeah, I'm very sure." I replied back pulling out the small box.

"Okay so what's the plan?" Forrest asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Just make sure she's not doing anything and send Malia out once you go back in." I told him shooing him away.

He nodded his head. "Alright. You better make this good." Forrest replied back with a smile before going into the room.

I sighed before running my hands over my face.

I'm really nervous for some reason when I shouldn't really be. I've known this girl all my life.

After a couple of seconds of being alone Malia came out.

"Uncle Forrest told me to come out here." She said looking up at me.

"Malia I want to ask your mother to marry me and I need your help." I explained to her as best as I could.

"Does that mean you are gonna be with her forever?" She asked with such a innocent voice.

I nodded my head and held my thumbs up.

"Yup." I replied back.

"Okay. What is it?" She asked me.

I bent down to her level and whispered my plan into her ear.

"You got it?" I asked her standing back up straight.

She smiled and nodded. "Yeah! Let's go." She exclaimed opening the door slightly.

"Wait here." I mentioned sliding the box into her hand.

She held onto the box tight as I followed her back into the room.

My mom and Diana are having a conversation about something while Forrest played with baby Tremaine and the girls.

I cleared my throat causing everyone to look at me.

"Is there something wrong with your throat?" My mom asked making Diana giggle.

I rolled my eyes playfully. "No." I said cuing for Malia to cut in.

"Mom, Trey wanted me to ask you something." She approached Diana's hospital bed with her hands behind her back.

"What is it?" Diana asked trying to lean up and see behind her back.

"Trey wanted me to ask you if you would marry him?" She asked opening the small box and holding it out in front of her.

Both Diana and my mother gasped out of shock.

I walked up next to Malia and bent down on one knee.

"Diana I've been waiting for the perfect time and the perfect moment to do this...I've known you for so long , we've always had this special chemistry between us and I'm glad I ran into you that day two and a half years ago. We have been through a lot together and I guess that's what made our love grow stronger. I love you so much that I can't even say enough words to describe it. Diana Michelle , will you marry me?" I ended as I watched the tears fall out of her eyes.

"Y-Yes I will marry you!" She screamed without hesitation making everyone cheer.

She held out her hand and I slipped the ring onto her finger.

I pulled her into a huge hug before passionately kissing her on the lips.

"I knew you two would get married. Ever since y'all were little kids.." My mother said making us laugh.

The girls cheered and danced around the room happily.

"Congrats big bro." Forrest said giving me dap and a hug.

"Thanks." I replied back with the biggest smile.

For once everything is going right in my life....

"I love you so much." Diana mumbled looking up at me.

"I love you so much more." I replied back pecking her lips.

Everything's falling into place as it should.
