The next day we all got up and looked around the other part of the caravan park.
We walked past the large jumping pillow as Oscar jumped on it and ran straight off as the hot sun was rising the pillow burnt his feet. We all laughed at him as he ran into the pool area. He got splashed as a group of little kids came down the water slide.
We kept walking, while Oscar keep getting rocks stuck between his toes.
We went up to a part up the back of the park along the river. There a a small stream that spreated the two lands we all jumped over it and walked along the small hike track the river was only one step down and it was a big fall into the river. We walked along and looked behind us to still be able to see other peoples caravans.
"Wow" I heard oscar saw.
I looked over Tobys shoulder as he was giving me a piggy back.
"Yes thats awesome" I heard Mae say
"Lets go back and get our swimmers" Toby said
On our run back all we heard was Oscar complaining about the rocks stabbing into his feet on the hot gravel burnt his feet. Mae and Toby would complain every now and again but I was on Toby's back so it didnt matter beside the fact that I felt my back burn in thin singlet.
We got there to see the other four families we camp with all starting to put up their tent.
These three families were;
The Smith's they had a son in my year, he was friends with Toby, his name was Dylan, he was a quiet one, I never talked to him though he seemed really nice, would go over to his house sometimes but that was because I was friends with his younger sister she was very cute her name was Maya she had light blonde and a fringe, she was a bit clingy but that was the only flaw, she was always positive and sweet. Their whole family was into AFL, one they go for a team called K.F.C and they had their teams stickers posted everywhere and I said to them you really like your chicken, I probably should have looked it up before.
The Williams were another family they were on the left of us, they were a crazy ass family in the best way, our family loved them, they became friends as soon as Jessie and I became friends back in 3rd grade. I saw so happy to see Jessie here, she a long long sandy, wavy hair , she wore a light singlet as well, we both share our clothes on camping trips and she was wearing short, short denim shorts as she showed off her long tan legs, she was very tall, her dad Dave was incredibly tall, her younger sister a year older then Mae hoped out of the car as she dragged eight stuffed dogs out with her she had a fascination with dogs, she loved them, her name was Clare she was very tan too, then their younger brother Levi jumped out of the car and straight onto his skateboard and off he went, he was in Mae's grade. Our parents got along with their parents Dave and Ella very well.
The Jones were the next family was on 2 camp sites to the right from us as Toby's family was next to us. The Jones had 3 kids I didnt have to much to do with or know them that much but they had a son called Max I did get along with him really, really well in past camping trips but it had been a while since they had been camping, Max was a year younger then me and was in 7th grade. They had a daughter called Mia I hung out with her sometimes she was in 6th grade with Maya, they were friends they also had a younger brother called Leo who was 2 years old.
" Heyyyyy" screamed Jessie as she dropped her tent pole and it crashed down just avoiding Clare
I jumped off Tobys back and gave her a hug, she was one of those friends that you can go weeks without talking but when you see each other its it you never stopped talking.
"You idiot, you could have killed me" I heard Clare yell out in the background
"Oh shut your face" Jessie yelled out from over my shoulder
" I can see your, tent putting up skills are at fleek" I said laughing at her
"I know right" she said looking back a the mess she made
" See if you can get out of it, come to the lake with Mae, Toby, Oscar and I"
"Mum, Dad" She screamed even though they were a couple of metres away.
"What's up sweetie" her dad yelled finding his way through the tent as he was stuck in the middle.
"Can I go for a swim with everyone" she said still yelling
" Yeah sure" her dad shouted back
Before I knew it all the kids were coming, I swapped backs between Jessie and Toby on our hike to the robe swing as the walk felt further then before.
