(3 weeks after Junior graduation)

Note on the door of my new house read:

"Welcome to your new home. We are happy that you chose us as your realitor. If there if any future questions or concerns please contact Bill or Lisa Montry at (970)555-6153 . Thank you for choosing Montry Real Estate. "

I take in a few bags at a time, with Jen's help, then start to unpack all of my stuff.

"It sucks that Eric couldn't come," Jen says as we're putting all of our kitchen stuff away.
"Yeah I know. But we will still Skype and stuff like that."
"Not to be nosey or anything, but why couldn't he come?"
"Well he said that he didn't want to move back here because his mom lives in California and he didn't want to take a chance of seeing her after what she did to his dad."
"Again not trying to be nosey, but what'd she do, " Jen laughs.
"She cheeted on his dad with Eric's freshman English teacher."
"Damn. Poor kid."
"Yeah. I know," I pick up the last plate and hand it to her, " but hey, its just us to here so we don't need to feel weird with a guy stayin' here."
"No because your going to be at school and I'm gonna be at work."
"Speaking of work..."
"What Brooklyn??"
"There is a photography and videography place that is hiring and I may have signed you up."
"Oh my gosh," she hugs me wirlth excitement, "I love you!!! How'd you hear about it?"
"I saw a sign and called and scheduled you an appointment for next Saturday at noon."
"You're awesome!!"

It's all different here, in California. I can't decide whether or not it's a good kind of different or a bad kind of different. Who knows things might change and change can be a good thing depending upon the way you think of it.
