Sam walked home despite living quite a ways away from the school. He enjoyed the silence that differed quite a lot from the roar of Baby and Dean's music.
He was thinking about the prank he had done earlier. Yes he had swapped the chemicals around, but the person at the other end of the prank was a complete accident. Had he known it would be The Trickster, he definitely wouldn't have done it. So this could definitely have side effects.
At least he doesn't know it was me, Sam thought. Although...this could actually turn out really well. Sam smirked, the slightly more evil side of him coming out again, and began planning more pranks for the Trickster, a.k.a Gabriel Novak.
Sam saw walked up to his house, surprised to find the door unlocked. He walked inside cautiously, watching for any intruders.
"It's just me Sam."
Sam relaxed at the familiar voice of John. "Hey Dad. How was work?"
"Busy," John replied as Sam walked into the kitchen where he found his dad making dinner. Sam put his bag down on the table, pulling out his phone to check his messages. There was only one from Kevin about Gabriel asking about him, which Sam was quite surprised at. If Gabriel could catch on that quickly...no, he'd find someway to make this fun.
"Where's Dean?" John asked.
"Party," Sam replied simply as he pulled schoolbooks out, spreading them across the kitchen table. "I think he's going to get drunk again. Should probably pick him up before he does something stupid like last time."
"Yeah, I mean I don't mind him being a normal teenager but bailing him out of jail was a bit too much," John said, then smiled a little. "Although still that was hilarious." Sam laughed at the memory, remembering how they'd found Dean shouting about fairies and ghosts. The police had found him, apparently Dean had broken into a house and made a circle of salt, swinging around anything made of iron.
John passed Sam the freshly cooked dinner as Sam packed all his books back into his bag, having found the sketchbook he was looking for. He would always draw in colour despite not being able to see any, and John would tell him the colours he used. It was interesting how John could tell the colour from the shade of grey he could see.
Sam opened the sketchbook and pushed it towards John, who looked at the drawing.
"Gold," he said. "Lots of gold. That's different, what made you use gold?"
"Dunno," Sam said, shrugging. "Felt like it I guess." He took the picture back. It was just a hastily drawn eye, but with a lot of detail.
John nodded. "I'm heading out again, don't study too late."
"Now why would I do that?" Sam said sarcastically.
"Don't make me have to take those books away from you," John threatened jokingly, before grabbing his stuff for work and leaving Sam alone in the house.

Dean probably should've stopped. No, he definitely should've. But come on, getting drunk was a blast. And everyone else was doing it anyway.
Dean was talking to some guy, Catstiel or something. After what was at least his seventh drink, everything was just a blur. A horrible grey blur. And then, there was an actual colour. Blue.
"Woah," Dean said, his voice slurred. "You have really pretty eyes."
The person he had been having a conversation with smiled at him. "Speak for yourself. Have you ever seen yours? They're green...like...grass or something." Needless to say, the person he was talking to was also drunk.
