Jane's POV

When I woke up I still felt terrible. I walked out of my room and across the hall to the bathroom. As I walked across the hall I heard Darry say "Mornin girly." But I just ignored him. I walked into the bathroom and realised yep I had it.

Sodapop's POV

"What's wrong with her?" Steve asked. "We don't know Steve." I told him. After she walked out from the bathroom she went straight back to her room. Then she came out and said "I'm going to Lynn's." Pony then said "But isn't she on some Father Daughter trip. But she just ignored Pony and left.

Jane's POV

I was going to Lynn's because her mom was like a mom to me and yes Lynn was gone on a trip but I needed to talk to someone. I talked to Lynn's mom and then she gave me five bucks for you know what. When I came home with the bag Darry asked "What's in the bag?" And I told him "Lynn and I went shopping." Then I went into my room and put them there. I then walked out to the living room and sat down but the living room was not safe. Because right when I sat down Soda asked me in front of the whole gang "What's wrong Jane?" I couldn't tell him he wouldn't understand. So I screamed "Nothing! Nothing is wrong with me!" I then started tearing up so I quick ran to my room locked the door and flopped into my pillow and started to cry. I then heard a knock on the door "Jane could you let me in?" Pony asked in a soft caring voice but I didn't care "No!" I screamed. Pony then walked away and I kept crying. A couple minutes later Pony opened the door. So he somehow picked to lock he then said "Come on Jane what is it?" I didn't want to talk so I quick ran out and into the bathroom I locked the door and sat up against it and hugged my knees and started crying even more the Pony once again picked the lock and I fell back and hit my head on the floor. He then walked in and said "Tell me." So I stood up and closed the door and locked the door behind me. He then said "Well?" And I whispered in his ear "I had um..... my period." And he then went "Oh" then I said "Please don't tell any one especially not Darry and Soda." He then pinky swore and left and we both went and sat in the living room. I could see some of them mouthing to Pony "What was it?" I especially saw Darry do it. Then Pony stood up and screamed "I'm not telling you! I promised Jane I would not tell!" He then walked out to the kitchen and I followed him. "Thank you" I said while giving him a hug. "Your welcome anything for my little sis." He said while hugging me back. This is why Ponyboy was my favorite brother he kept my secrets and he seamed to care about me the most. Then Darry snuck up behind me and when I let go of Pony and turned around Darry picked me up by my waist and lifted me up in the air above his head and said "You wanna tell me now." He only did this when he was really serious. So I said "Put me down and then Pony can tell you." He then put me down and I whispered to Pony "Whisper it to him and wait till you hear my bedroom door shut." I then ran to my bedroom and shut the door.

Darry's POV

"She had it." Pony whispered in my ear. I then called for Soda and whispered it in his ear. Then we walked to her bedroom door knocked on it then I said "Jane do you want to talk about it." I didn't hear an answer so I asked Pony "Yo Pony you still got that paper clip?" He handed me the silver paper clip he had used to unlock the doors before. I unlocked the door and Jane was not there and her window was open. "Guys she ran away!" I screamed I then said "Soda and Steve go check the lot, Two-Bit Johnny and Dally go check any where we usually hang out and stop at Lynn's house, Pony and I will stay here just in case she comes back!" Then Pony said "Wait I hear crying."
