The next day

Today was my first day back to school. I had 10 work sheets, 5 test to make up, and an essay for English. During my study hall I did 2 of the tests.

When I got home right away Darry asked "How much work do you have to make up?" "Ok um my day was good thanks for asking. And I have and essay and 10 worksheets." I didn't even give him time to tell me to go work. I went straight to the kitchen. Grabbed a coke and sat down at the table and started to work. I started working around 3:00. I had all 10 work sheets done and half the essay done by 5:00 I had all week to get these done. I then ate dinner and hung out with the gang.

At school the next day all my teacher's were superseded that I already had my work sheets done. My English teacher told me to take my time on the essay but he knew I didn't need time. In study hall I did two more test plus half of the fith.

When I got home Darry asked me how my day at school was and use told him all that I just told you. He was very proud of me. I had all week to finish the essay so I decided to do the rest tomorrow. Tonight Johnny wanted to take me out on a date. He took me to the dingo. We went inside and both of us ordered a hamburger and a coke. We talked quietly the whole time. Then at the end I tried to pay but he would not let me.

When we were walking he stopped and looked me in the eyes and said "I love you." I looked in his sweet puppy dog eyes and knew he was not lying "I love you too." Then he kissed me and I kissed him back. Suddenly his kiss got deeper and more passionate. He then slowly pushed me up against the fence and I wrapped my arms around his neck and he put his hands on my lower back. Wow I never knew Johnny was capable of this. After a couple minutes he moved my hair and started to kiss the back of my neck. Then he stopped and we leaned our for heads together. I looked in his sweet eyes again and I said "I love you Johnny." He looked back in mine and said "I love you too Jane." Then we started walking hand in hand.

His parents weren't home so we stopped at his house so he could grab some stuff. I went into the bathroom and moved my hair out of the way and saw a hicky on my neck. I walked out to Johnny waiting for me so we could leave. I moved my hair to show him the hicky and asked "What am I gonna tell Darry?" Johnny thought for a second and then said "Well you could tell him I stopped to go to the bathroom while you waited outside. Then some socs came up and one pressed you against a fence and held you there and you could barely move. Then the soc started to kiss your neck. But don't tell him you knew you had one act surprised like you thought they were just small kisses he did. But go with your hair up." I shook my head then pulled my hair up and we started walking. When we got in the house Darry asked us "Where have you been?" "The dingo." I informed him. Then as I walked past Steve and Two-Bit I heard Two-Bit chuckle and say "Looks like things got a little hot." I turned around and acted confused "What?" Then Darry walked over and started to stare at my neck. Then he pointed to the hicky and asked "How did you get that?" Then he turned around at looked at Johnny and said "Johnny Cade if you did this to her you are gonna be in some deep shit." I had to tell the story fast or Johnny might be dead. I told him about the soc and how I didn't even know I had one and how Johnny saved me. He shook his head understanding. Then sat back down and Johnny had a look of releif on his face because I'm not a very good liar.
