Darry's POV

When I got home from work at about midnight I found Johnny and Jane snuggled on the couch asleep. "Jane! Johnny! What are you two doing?!" I shouted. Jane quick woke up and she stuttered and said "Um.... his parents....... were um...... fighting so he came here.... and um we started to watch TV then we both fell asleep." I could tell she lied. I bet Pony knew something and I was going to ask him in the morning. "Ok well go to your room Jane." I said. Then she got up and walked to her room and I sat down next to Johnny and asked "Were your parents really fighting?" I knew he would never lie. Then Johnny said "Yeah they were." Then I looked at him closer and saw something on his lip it was the red shade of Jane's lipstick.

The next morning I got up before Jane and went straight to Pony's room. Pony and Soda were already awake and just talking in there bed. They quick went silent and I asked "Hey Pony will you come with me?" He quick launched up out of bed and followed me into the kitchen. "What happened with Johnny and Jane last night?" I asked and he told me "Well we were playing football and Johnny was teaching Jane to throw. Then Jane kissed Johnny. Then she ran away and I caught her and she said she kissed him because he reminded her of me. Then she came back here and Johnny said he needed to talk to her and then when I came home I found then asleep together and I couldn't get either of them to wake up so I left and went to bed my self." I couldn't believe Jane kissed Johnny. But if it was just a small kiss how did Johnny have Jane's lipstick on.

Jane's POV

I woke up and found Darry and Ponyboy sitting in the kitchen talking and Soda walked out from his door as I walked past it. We both then walked into the kitchen and no one made breakfast yet but when I walked in Darry said "Jane I need to talk to you." We then walked into his room and he said "Did you kiss Johnny?" I knew I couldn't lie any more so I said "Yes I did kiss him. It started out as a small kiss but then Pony said I couldn't see him so I came here and started to cry then I heard the door open and I thought it was you so I gave him a big hug then relised it was not you then we sat on the couch and made out for about 3 minutes." I said this all very fast so it took a minute or two to processes what I said then he got very angry and screamed "Why did you make out with Johnny Cade?! A person 3 years older than you!" "I love him!" Then I ran out the door and me slamming the door woke up Johnny. Then Johnny and Pony chased after me. They were both pretty fast runners but Pony was the one that caught me. He flopped on top of me and then Johnny grabbed my arm and Pony got offf. They then asked "What's wrong?" At the same time. I didn't know what to say "Darry and you say I can't be with Johhny." I said to Pony and Johnny just stared at Pony. "Why would you guys say that?" Johnny said to Pony, but I answered for him "They both think your to old for me when Lynn's parents are 5 years apart." Just then Darry came over to me and said "Why in the world did you run out like that?" I didn't want to answer and I quick escaped Johnny's grasp and started to run but then Pony tackled me again then when he got off I stood up again and Darry grabbed me by the waist and turned around then had a tight hold on my arm. I tried to pull away but I couldn't so I just sat down and shoved my face in the grass. He asked it again and I just mounded. He then yanked me up then carried me bridal style back to the house and the whole time I had my face shoved in his shirt. When we finally got home he plopped me down on the couch and by this time the whole gang was there. I just shoved my face into the arm of the couch while Two-Bit said "What's up with her?" Darry said "She is being stubborn." But then I pulled my head up and said "No I kissed Johnny and everyone says I can't be with him." Then Soda and Steve screamed "You kissed Johnny?!" Then they kept looking back and forth between Johnny and I. Then Soda said "Even though he is 3 years older then you I think you would be cute together." I was very happy to hear that. So I said "Thank you Soda you are the first person to say that." We all then watched TV for a while then we all left and I fell asleep early.
