6 - Clueless{Arabella's point of view}
I made sure that I pulled up into the dream spot earlier than usual, just so we could make Calum uneasy. The girls pulled up, in front and behind my spot, and we gathered.
"Right, Beth you go over to Michael, we all know he likes you the most, Mia and Meredith you have Luke and Natalia you work on Ashton. I'll go straight to Calum. Let's try not to make it too obvious," I said, winking. They all nodded and we walked over to the other side. I immediately linked my arm around Calum's, interrupting their conversation that looked intriguing. I smiled up at him, I saw anxiety flood his facial expression, just to disappear moments later. His eye line flicked over to the boys, who were all loving the attention.
"You alright boys?" I asked, innocence flooding my voice. It wasn't difficult to play to play nice but it wasn't fun, being this close to Calum without saying something offensive, it made me feel sick.
Michael looked up from Beth like he had just won the lottery and nodded we all laughed at how predictable they were. This would be over quicker than I thought. I felt Calum's eyes on me.
"Whatever you think you have got planned isn't going to work," he stated. Little did he know it was working perfectly, he thought we had something planned. However, even though our plan was working I hated the fact that he thought he could tell me whether I would win or not. He doubted me.
"Do you want to keep you-" He cut me off mid threat. I rolled my eyes, catching a glimpse of the girls, who were soaking up all the time they got with the boys. Beth was having a full on staring contest with Michael; I had to refrain from gagging.
"Give it up Arabella. You aren't going to win; you never will. Do you want to keep your hair because I will happily shave it off? C'mon you are being pathetic, thinking you can play nice when you know we are on to you." I wanted to laugh at how wrong he was, but how much he was doing exactly what we wanted. The threat he made barely made me think twice; he knew if he went anywhere near my hair with a razor, his balls would disappear and it would not get painless.
The girls decided they'd use this plan to their advantage and walked of, the boys still connected to them and staring them down. I knew this assembly would be good for them. Before I could even think about leaving Calum's side, he pushed me up against the wall, his hands not-so-carefully placed either side of my face; some of my hair was caught in between his fingers.
"Give up while you still have your dignity." He was trying to intimidate me. It wasn't going to work.
"Calum, I don't know what you are talking about-" He cut me off, clearly thinking I was lying. He had fallen into our trap. Operation Teenage Dirtbag was almost 100% successful. I rolled my eyes at how clueless he was. My hair was beginning to hurt so I tried to pull away but he overpowered me. God damn his muscular arms.
"And where do you think you're going?" He shot me a smirk and I knew he was mocking me; he thought I was losing. He couldn't have been more wrong.
"Just let me go and we can call it quits?" I was doing my best to try and stay nice, after all we did have something 'planned' in his eyes. He shook his head.
"I'd rather see you squirm," he purred. I wanted to hit him but the bell stopped me, giving a whole new meaning to 'saved by the bell'. His eyes darted to the assembly hall and he bent down to my level. "This isn't over Arabella." Why was he leaving this now? We only had an assembly, most of the time he never showed anyway. My mind started wondering about what he could have planned but I was snapped out of thought as he left a stinging slap on my bum. I almost screamed at him, the only thing stopping me was the silence in the hall; if I snapped now everyone would hear me.
I walked in like I was supposed to be late, passed Calum and the boys and sat on the seat the girls had saved me, in the center of them all.
"Good Morning, Mr Ball," the crowd chorused, sounding way more enthusiastic than normal, something must be wrong, I thought privately.
"Today is a great day!" I completely zoned out. I didn't want to listen to the red faced idiot, I knew that I would win no award. I turned my head, to talk to Beth but her eyes were glued to the front of the room, her jaw agape. Laughter erupted throughout the room. "Silence!" He boomed. My curious mind got the better of me; turning my head I saw the head master completely covered in syrup and white feathers. Calum was clapping and approaching him. This wasn't going to end well for anyone.
"The white feathers match your complexion, Sir," Calum called out, loud enough for everyone to hear. I mentally cursed him, we couldn't top this. But on the bright side, he would probably get expelled, or suspended; either would mean I wouldn't have to see him for a while. The disgusting human that was Calum Hood then dipped his finger into the sticky liquid covering the head and tasted it. He mumbled something, only loud enough for the older man to hear; we all sat in deadly silence.
"Arabella Rose, do you mind joining me on stage?" My stomach screamed no but I couldn't let anyone see that I was scared of what was about to happen. Calum had just proved he didn't give a shit about anyone's opinions. I quickly agreed, to look like I wasn't internally shitting bricks and walked up to the stage, standing just in front of Calum.
"Yes Calum?" I asked, making sure that there was nothing but disgust riddled in my voice. He paused and I gulped.
"Revenge is sweet," he whispered. I saw him bend down but nothing prepared me for what he did. I felt his hands grab at my waist and before long my skin tight jeans were by my knees. My heart plummeted. It might have been a schoolboy prank, but it was in front of the whole school, teachers and all.
My hands rushed down to pull them back up, squeezing them past my bum. I ran out, my girls still in too much shock to move. I saw Calum strutting away like he owned the world and I screamed.
"You're a fucking dick!" I yelled. He turned around, a smirk plastered onto his face. "You had to do that in front of the whole school?" I was beyond angry. The embarrassment had worn off, I would have time for that later; for now, all I felt was rage. Before I knew it my hand connected with his cheek, sending the sound throughout the empty hallway.
"It was worth it," he said, his own hand rushing to support where I had just bruised him.
"Whatever Calum, go fuck yourself. This isn't over." I walked past him, my girls finally emerging from the still silent hall. Each one of them landed a loud slap on his cheek before strutting up to me.
"Arabella are you okay?" Mia asked, taking my hand in hers.
"Yeah, Operation Teenage Dirtbag is over; we need to get this son of a bitch back."
