CHAPTER 39

TATLONG araw ang makalipas ng makauwi kami sa Pilipinas ay balik sa normal na ulit ang buhay naming mag asawa na tila ba'y walang madilim na nangyari. He go back to his work even if he's insisting to be with me. I'd rather to be with him as well but I know–he has a lot of responsibilities.

"Okay ka lang ba?" I ask him as I saw him went down the stairs.

As his wife, I woke up early today and prepare him breakfast.

"I felt like I'm going to collapse and have a fever." he told me.

"Alas.." nilapitan ko ito. "Have a sit! I'll get you water." Kumuha ako ng baso at nilagyan iton ng tubig. "Can you take a rest for today? You're working hard a lot and already forgot to rest." I told him.

"I have a board meeting today, wife. I just can't postpone that. Maybe, I'll just go home after our meeting. I'm sorry!" he said.

I let out a deep sigh. "Sigurado ka?"

"Uhuh..what did you prepare ba?" he ask.

"I made scrambled egg with truffle dip. I cook some chicken soup and fried rice."

"I felt I'm starving.."

"Okay, can you give me 5 minutes? I'll just prepare."

"I'll help you!" He insisted.

She's preparing the food while he's putting the plate and utensils on the dining table.

"You want coffee?" Tumango lang ang asawa. She makes some for her husband pagkatapos ay umupo na ito sa harapan niya.

"Are you okay here? You were just alone. Kailan babalik si Mama?" he ask as we began to eat.

Mama went back to the mansion to get some of my stuff. She will get Nanay Letisha and she will our stay here with us. After they knew about what happened, they are all worried and just decided to be with us. Mama was so scared because she remember them again.

"Tomorrow I think. They will pick some mangoes and will bring here. Don't worry, I'm fine here." I reassured him.

"Don't forget to update me time by time.." tumango ako. "You don't have any plans today?"

"No.." umiling ako sa kanya. "But I want to work like you as well." giit ko.

I feel so bored because I'm just alone here–and ended up crying while still reminiscing our angel. It's hard to accept—I have to bring my attention somewhere else. I don't want him to get worried for me because I know—it's hard for him too.

"wife.." tumigil siya sa kanyang pagkain. "You sure?" he ask.

"Yes." Tumango ako sa kanya.

"But I can provide to you everything.."

"I know!" I face him. "..i know that you can gave me the life that I want." He let out a heavy sigh.

"Let's just finish your ongoing check up first then we will discuss it again." he said calmly. I bit my lip and nod.

"Are you mad?" Umiling siya.

"I'm just worried.." he sigh as he sip his coffee.
