CHAPTER 40

DAYS and weeks passed by—our life as married couple went normal and casual. After I took a lot of sessions with my psychologist, OB Gynecologist and dermatologist, I decided to go back to my work like I used before. I talked to my husband and he agreed with me. I'm doing better now–living the best of my life normally.

With the help of Georgina and Hugo, I join their company as the assistant director of their modeling agency. It was hard—and needs a lot of courage to be in that position. I feel so much pressure but they help me to overcome it.

"Good afternoon! To all passengers with a flight number AZ1031 bound to Manila, boarding for this flight is now commencing. Please proceed to gate 17 with your boarding pass and valid identification. Thank you!"

We stood up from our seat as we heard our flight announcement back to Manila. We just finished our 3days event in Davao and we were heading back. It's almost six in the evening and I think we will landed late night because we just finished the last event earlier at three o'clock pm before we head to the airport.

All events we're doing are so freaking tiring—but we have to do it in order to attract more clients and investors.

"I can carry it for you, Mrs. Armendarez.." Jean, our assistant insisted as she referred to my paper bag on my hand. I just bought some pasalubong for Alas, my mother and nanay letisha.

"Thank you, Jean." I smiled at her.

We headed inside the plane—I just wear my AirPods on my ear and play my favorite song. I decided to take a nap before the plane takes off. Mabilis naman akong nakatulog dahil na rin sa pagod. Our sleep these past few days are not quite good.

Nagising nalang ako sa announce ng pilot that we will landed in a five minutes. Napatingin ako sa labas ng bintana at gabing gabi na.

As the cabin crew announce that we already landed, we prepared ourselves and go out from the plane. As I finally get my luggage, Kuya Ben—my driver fetch me at the airport.

It took an hour as we arrived in the house because of the traffic. Sinalubong ako ni Mama at ni Nanay Letisha.

"Did you eat your dinner already, Anak?" Mama ask me while Nanay Letisha took my things.

"Nagluto ako ng kare-kare, Ara." nay letisha added.

"Hindi pa ho. Dumating na ho ba ang asawa ko?" I ask them.

"Hindi pa anak simula ng umalis siya kanina." I let out a heavy sigh.

"Ganun ho ba, Mama."

"May problema ba?" Mama ask me but I just shook my shoulder.

"He's busy with his work, Ma." sagot ko. "Kain na ho tayo, nagugutom na po ako."

"Ipaghahain kita, anak. Nauna na kaming kumain ni Manang." Mama stood up and went to the dining to prepare. Tumango nalang ako.

Naupo ako sa announce harap ng mesa at kumain. My mother is sitting in front of me while watching me.

"Kumusta ka na? Masyado ko yatang pinapagod ang katawan mo, anak."

"I'm fine Mama. I'm just trying to get busy para malibang." I explained.

"Kailan ulit ang balik mo sa iyong OB?"
