Okay, Jungkook wanted to protect his sister and mother, but Lisa assumed Jin would have to know about this, so she turned to her husband and raised her brows with the sass of a gay diva. "Go on. Tell him."
Jungkook sighed, running a hand through his hair. This situation was really exhausting him so much that she could see he already wanted to go home and sit on the couch watching something on TV, Bam at his feet and Lily on his lap. But he couldn't escape.
"We've found out who's behind Lisa's smear campaign," he finally murmured.
Jin frowned, completely lost.
"Wait. Smear campaign?" His gaze shifted to Lisa. "What happened?"
Where the hell did he live?
What do you mean his word wasn't all about Lisa?
"Bots," she sighed the word with exhaustion as well. "Fake reviews, articles trying to ruin my reputation, you know. They're paying people to keep saying I'm unfit as a businesswoman, that I'm giving it all up to be a trophy wife. It's been going on for weeks."
"What? I didn't know that happened to you," Jin was incredulous, but stiffened even more when Jungkook continued.
"It's Dad."
For a second, his older brother stared blankly, slowly processing the information and waiting for someone to correct him, to tell him he'd heard wrong because this was ridiculous, and so pathetic. Even for their father.
"Are you telling me—?" He gave a high, bitter laugh, utterly incredulous. "Are you telling me Dad has been orchestrating a campaign to ruin his own daughter-in-law?"
"I know, right? It's mind blowing," Lisa's lips pressed into a thin line. "Seems like that's how he plays."
"It's crazy."
"And you haven't heard the rest," Jungkook raised his eyebrows.
"There's more?" Jin was as stunned as Lisa had been the first time.
Jungkook looked across the room at his father, checking that he was busier dealing with Jisoo's father bullying him than on them. Yet, he still needed to be cautious.
"Let's get to some corner," he signaled to his head casually, just in front of them was a path of rocks leading to another fountain.
Lisa's finger automatically searched his and Jin noticed, wiggling his brows in that embarrassing, mocking way that had him scrunching his face in disgust and shoving his shoulder. His older brother kicked his ass with a kick horse kick back that made him stumble forward.
