Chapter 42

"Jade! Wake up I wrote a song last nigh!" I heard first thing the next morning.

I roiled over to see Rylie standing there.

"That's awesome Ry but it's 7:30 I wanted to sleep in before I go see Kent. But I guess that changed. Let's go hear it," I told her getting out of bed.

"Is that Calum's shirt?" She asked.

"Yea. He let me wear it last night after... never mind," I said leaving my room.

Rylie played the song and I fell in love with it.

"That was so good," I told her.

"Yea. Jade. I think Michael likes me," she said.

"What? He has a girlfriend why would he do that?" I asked her.

"I don't know but last night he was in here with me when I wrote this. He tried to kiss me Jade," she said.

"Did he?"

"No. I stopped him before he did."

"Okay. I need to get ready to go see my step dad. Maybe he is felling better today," I told her tears in my eyes.

"I told Calum about me past last night. I need to get that off my chest."

"That's good. I'm glad that y'all are doing good," she said giving me a hug.

She let go and I walked out of the room.

Calum and I get to my parents house and my sister comes running out.

"Jade!" She yelled.

"Hi caitlin. How is daddy?" I asked her.

"He is better. But he is hurting really bad," she said.

"Okay. Caitlin this is Calum. My boyfriend."

"Hi," she said shyly.

We walked to the house and my mom is in the kitchen.

"Hey mom," I said giving her a hug.

"Hey. Hi Calum. Nice seeing you again," he said hugging me then Calum.

"Were is kent?" I asked.

"Out back on the porch. You should know he wouldn't be inside," she said laughing.

I laughed and went outside.

"There's my baby girl and Calum," my step dad said.

"Nice to see you again to sir," Calum said.

We talked for a little bit about what happen. Then my mom brought food out. We are them talked a little more. Then we left to go home.
