The next couple of hours of travel that we had to make to meet with the others seemed to fly by at an incredibly slow rate, but that might've been because during the whole ride I was checking our surroundings. Something was unnerving me, it was too peaceful and the feeling only intensified when Jay started to feel like when he was being watched, when he had those types of feelings I learned quickly to listen to them.

Also the fact that Ambrosia has not taken her eyes off of me since we left that town, I could feel the stare going through me like a knife. I'd yet to tell them any details about how I defeated the Phantoms, that's what I've spent the past days thinking about.

Like right now, Ambrosia is staring at me while I at the campfire an outsider from the rest of the group that doesn't know me.

I look back in her direction and she immediately looks away. Is it possible that she could've seen something that night? Was she the glimmer of energy I felt? No, it couldn't have been, I know her energy too well not to realize that it was her.

But if it wasn't her then who?

"Alright, you lot!" says Ambrosia, her voice bringing me out of my thoughts and immediately making the immediate area silent. "I have an announcement! But before I do, Snow join me up here for a second." She says with a smirk.

I feel all eyes trained on me.

She's going to induct me, I realize. So, she's finally done observing me... looks like I'll have to fight next to prove my worth after this...

I move from my position on the log and join her in the front the gap that had been made for my way through slowly filled by people. "Have I done something wrong, Nightshade?" I ask calmly.

I see her face twitch slightly in annoyance, she was hoping that I would be nervous in front of everyone. It made her mad that could keep a cool exterior when faced with situations like this. It still does and I do it on purpose most of the time.

"No, not at all. In fact it's quite the opposite." She says. "As of this moment Darrion Snow you are an official member of this group, you've proven your self trustworthy enough to join this group as well as have the skills necessary for our line of work."

I hear the crowd cheer in approval.

I smile slightly.

"And as reward you get to take an all night watch of the group along with our little fox here!" she says looking at Jay who was hanging upside down from a branch, a mischievous smile on his face as he gave a little wave to me. "But before that, how about a little spar, cause everyone else wants to see what you're made of." She says winking, her attention turns to the crowd. "Would anyone like to take on this lovely gentleman?"

"I'll do it!" says a voice.

Immediately the crowd parts and out comes a man come through with two swords in hand, his head is partly shaved and the rest was put into a wolfs tail on the back of his head. Two blue eyes peered at me, eyes I know as well.

"This pretty boy doesn't look like he'll be too tough," he boasts.

Ambrosia sighs. "May I introduce to you my brother, Ashton Nightshade."

And also my best friend.

It's weird seeing him three years younger, it wasn't the fact that he was now younger than me age wise, its that he actually looked his age and happy.

"It's a pleasure to meet you." I tell, him removing my cloak and setting it aside.

"The honor's all yours!" he says with a smirk.
