The Doctor's P.O.V
She fell asleep in my lap, while the orange moon was rising in the sky. Her breaths were small puffs of air, cute and sweet. I picked her up carefully and brought her back to the TARDIS. As I passed the console where Amy and Rory were hanging out, Amy elbowed Rory and quirked her eyebrows at me. I glared back.
"Shut up." I whispered.
"Didn't say a thing." She mumbled.
I smirked and brought her up to my room. I know the TARDIS has another room, but I've been away from her for so long. I need to hold her close, to be sure she's there. So she won't disappear. I placed her in bed and pulled the blankets over her. Her mouth was slightly open, with a little bit of drool coming out of her mouth.
I still think she looked perfect.
I headed downstairs to take us off the planet, but was intercepted by Amy.
"So."
"So what?" I said, sassily.
"So, she's a Time Lord!" She squealed.
I rolled my eyes and slumped against the railing.
"One, Time Lady. Two, Shh!" I placed my finger against her lips. She batted my hand away. I took this as a chance to dart to the console. Rory stopped me.
"Are you just using her?" He asked seriously.
I stared at him, shocked. I felt like smacking him in the face and kicking him where it counted.
"I'm telling you something, that's very important, Rory." I said slowly, like he was a child. "We. Are. Soulmates."
I heard Amy giggle behind me.
"How can you be sure, Doctor Love?" She laughed.
I frowned at both of them.
"Soulmates are two life forms that came from the same piece of matter, then separated. The two life forms are then soul mates because they are made from the same stars and matter!" I explained excitedly. "Humans are usually oblivious to their soulmates, unlike you two, and marry the wrong person. But Time Lords always know who their soulmates are, because they can communicate through thoughts, and whenever they touch, they feel a unique connection."
Rory and Amy stared at me, mouths open wide.
"How are you sure we're soulmates?" Amy whispered.
"The way you look at each other." I stated emotionlessly. "I'm going up to bed."
"With that girl?" Rory grinned.
I glared at him.
"Cuddling! That's it! All cuddling! She's already totally out asleep! Only cuddling!" I whispered angrily, pointing a finger at his chest.
He only grinned at me, while Amy laughed. I stalked up the stairs, stomping the whole way there. I stopped suddenly when I saw her curled up in a ball on my bed. Her hair was swept behind her shoulder, so I could see her face. I crouched by her side, to see tears silently running down her face. I wiped them away and she suddenly woke up, whimpering.
"Shh. You're safe. You're safe here, don't worry." I said, holding her hands in mine.
"I dreamed I was falling through space." She whispered. "And I hit the bottom. It was full of dead trees. And dead people and animals. Then this voice was telling me it was all my fault. Then it was screaming at me, asking why I didn't save all the Time Lords. Why I didn't save all of them. Doctor! I swear if I could've I would've saved them! All of them! But I couldn't! Doctor, I would've I swear!" She broke off and started crying softly.
She crawled onto the floor with me and cried into my chest.
"I would've, I swear. There was only one ship left and it was a one seater! All the others were burned! I would've Doctor, I promise!" She wailed.
I rubbed her back as she cried, balling my shirt in her fists. She finally calmed down and took in sharp breaths while I picked her up and placed her in bed. I put on my favourite pyjamas because they were so soft and I knew she'd just love them!
"Ta-daa!" I said, grinning widely at her.
She stood up and looked me up and down. She gave a breathy giggle, which grew into a loud laugh.
"B-Bow ties!" She giggled, pointing at my pyjamas.
"Yes." I frowned slightly. "What's wrong with them!"
She enveloped me in a sudden hug.
"Nothing. I just think you look so adorable. Your pyjamas are very cute." She said into my chest.
"Cute? Cute! I thought they were very manly!" I said, frowning more.
"Oh, yes! Very manly! Your bow ties are very, very manly." She smiled up at me, which I returned.
She climbed into my bed and pulled the covers over her.
"The TARDIS is huge, isn't there another room I should sleep in?" She asked, turning to look at me.
"Oh, yeah. But I thought you wanted to snuggle!" I smiled as I got into bed, wrapping my arms tightly around her.
"We used to cuddle all the time." She smiled into my chest.
"I remember."
I pulled her closer to me, if that was even possible. Erica drifted off sleep very quickly, while I stroked her hair, gently.
How did she end up in my arms again? If she hadn't rescued me from the Daleks, I probably would've died. I would've still roamed the universe until I found her, or just gave up. I wish I never thought of giving up. All of my stupid adventures that didn't involve deliberate alien confrontation, were when I was searching for her. I saw light stream from the hallway into my room. I looked up blearily to see Amy and Rory standing in the doorway. When they realized I was looking, they rushed away, giggling. The TARDIS shut the door and locked it, humming.
"Smart move, sexy." I mumbled, before I fell asleep.A/N I'm sorry for the short chapter! I feel gross right now so lol small update! BUT ITS STILL SO CUTE
