The Doctor's P.O.V
The Dreamer let out a screech from the other hallway. I darted down the stairs, searching for her desperately.
"Doctor!" She screamed again.
I was closer. I turned a corner to see her huddled up behind a chair.
"Doctor!" She sobbed, squeezing her eyes shut.
"It's okay. It's okay. I'm here, I've got you." I whispered, pulling her towards me.
She pushed away from me and let out another cry.
"Doctor! Doctor save me, please!" She shouted, squirming out of my arms.
"Dreamer?" I asked, reaching out for her.
"Don't touch me!"
I stood up and examined her. I don't even know what planet we're on. The TARDIS was confused and kept switching between different planets. I've never had this happen before.
"Dreamer, it's just me." I said.
She darted away from me and into a different corner.
"Please. Just get me the Doctor." She whimpered, covering her face with her hands. "I just want to go home."
My heart sunk in my chest. This place was playing with her mind. What horrific creature was I in her eyes?
"Ten. Please, please just get me Eleven." She whispered.
I shook my head and pulled her hands away from my face.
"But I am Eleven."
"No, no, you're Ten." The Dreamer cried smacking my hands away. "I just want my Doctor!"
I sat up and stared at her shaking body. She thinks I'm a different incarnation of myself.
What's so bad about Ten?
"Hey, I'll always be your Doctor, no matter what I look like." I whispered to her.
She looked up at me and dried her eyes quickly.
"I'm Eleven, not Ten." I said, pulling at my bow tie.
"Say something only my Doctor would say." She said quietly.
"Bow ties are cool."
The Dreamer threw her arms around my neck and pulled me close to her.
"What's something only my Doctor would know?" She whispered.
"You're scared of pinecones."
She laughed in my ear and kissed me on my cheek.
"I want to go home." She said quietly.
My stomach dropped. She can't go home. Not now.
"No." I said, my voice catching. "Please, Dreamer, no."
"What's so bad about me going home?" She asked, pulling me out of the room.
"Fine."
I stomped out of the room, my heart racing. She didn't care, so why should I?
We collected Amy and Rory after finding them in almost the same state as the Dreamer. Except they recovered quicker.
"C'mon. Let's go." I said tonelessly.
"Why in such a hurry?" Amy asked, rushing along with Rory in her wake.
"The Dreamer wants to go home!" I yelled, opening the door to the TARDIS.
I tugged at the controls angrily as the Dreamer chatted with Amy. We landed with a jolt that sent Rory sprawling on the floor. I opened the door and gestured.
"We're here. Get out." I said, refusing to meet her gaze.
"Doctor? What are you doing?" She asked slowly.
"I've brought you home! Just where you wanted to go!" I yelled, grabbing her arm and attempted to push her outside.
"No! Doctor this isn't my home!" She said, pulling my hand away.
"Well, it's your apartment, isn't it? It's home!" I said, spit flying out of my mouth.
"Doctor! That's not my home!" She explained loudly, using a lot of hand gestures. "The TARDIS is!"

The Dreamer's P.O.V
I stood my ground as the Doctor glared at me.
"Oh, save it!" He spat. "Go home."
I felt tears well up in my eyes, but I attempted to not make them fall.
"Doctor. Please." I whispered, stepping closer to him.
He pointed to my apartment.
"Go." He said with finality in his tone. "Just go."
I stepped outside and turned to look at the Doctor.
He gazed at me with sadness, and affection. It always ends this way, I can tell.
He closed the door gently, while I clenched my jaw, trying not to cry. As the TARDIS disappeared with its comforting noises, I broke down and fell on my knees.
"Come back." I whispered, staring into the sky. "You're my Doctor."
I rushed into the apartment building and darted into my room. I saw that everything was exactly how I left it, the radio was even still playing. I screamed and tore things from my walls, knocked things over and climbed into bed, huddling under the covers while The Scientist by Coldplay blared from the radio. I sobbed into my pillow, feeling exactly like when I had failed dates. This pillow had been drenched with tears many times. Too many times.
A few days later, I decided I was hungry and settled for a boiled egg. It tasted disgusting now, but I didn't want to have fish and custard. That reminded me of the Doctor. I slowly cleaned up my apartment, putting pictures on walls, putting things back in tables and sweeping glass up.

Three Years Later

I threw out all the outdated things in my fridge, which left it dreadfully bare. I haven't gone food shopping for a while. In fact, I haven't eaten in even longer. I didn't really find a reason to live in these three years. I have no Doctor. How did I live for... one thousand and seventy-three years without him? I ran to the store to get more food. I practically swept everything from the shelves.
I hurried home from the shop, as I didn't have car, walking was the only transportation. I marched past many alleyways, but one made my legs quiver as I stared into it. The darkness held many things, of which I didn't know, which led to my fear of the dark. A tall shape soon loomed over me.
"Well, hello."

The Doctor's P.O.V
I passed by many adventures, half-heartedly pulling at controls and running from blood-thirsty aliens. Nothing made me full of adrenaline and happy again.
"Doctor, you need to get her back." Amy said, tapping me on the shoulder. "You miss her."
I shook her off and headed to my room. I sat on the edge of my bed for a while, unknowing of the time.
"I don't miss her. I'm the Doctor." I said to myself. "Who am I kidding? Not myself, that's for sure. I miss her."
I leapt from my bed and ran downstairs, jumping around the console with a smile on my face. I held onto a bar as the TARDIS landed and swung open the door.
"Doctor! Help me!" A voice screamed from down the alleyway where we landed.
"Doctor!"
I ran into the darkness blindly, only wanting to find my Dreamer.
"Doct-" Her voice was cut off and some garbage cans rustled behind me. I peered around the dumpster, my sonic screwdriver the only light. I was met by the sight of the Dreamer unconscious, and a very muscular man with many tattoos holding her up.
"This ain't your business! Get out!" He yelled, dropping her on the ground.
I seethed with anger, just wanting to punch him.
"Oh, oh, but it is." I hissed. "I'm the Doctor."
