Chapter Fifteen

"I threatened you back in that AU, and I'm gonna do it again." Killer growled, bringing a sharper knife from the kitchen up to M/n's throat. "You EVER fuckin tell ANYONE that I actually giva shit-"

"I won't-" M/n's voice cracked with fear, his body aching with pain. "I swear, I won't."

"Mm. Good." Killer pulled the knife away. "Now take yer shirt off."

M/n side eyed him, a little uncomfortable with his tone of voice, wondering why he was commanding him like that.

"Weirdo." M/n grunted, wincing in pain as he struggled to take his shirt off.

His shoulders popped once he finally got out of his shirt. He whined at the pain, his body tensing and leaning back against the couch, shivering at the cold of the room.

Nightmare walked out of the kitchen, steaming cup of coffee in hand. He stared at M/n, looking him up and down, his gaze lingering on his torso for a moment too long.

"You look like shit." He said, walking back into the kitchen.

Killer watched as M/n's chest heaved with each breath. There were fresh bruises blooming across his ribs, small cuts and large gashes. The scent of blood overwhelmed his senses. Killer sighed lowly and reached forward, his cold phalanges ghosting across the bruises on the human's skin.

M/n shuddered, goosebumps trailing down his torso. His eyes were wide with discomfort and fear... and shyness. Killer had nestled himself on the floor between M/n's legs with a first aid kit.

"Easy, now, sweetheart."  Killer said, fully looking over the extent of M/n's injuries, noticing that one of the cuts trailed low, continuing under his pants.

A thought crossed his mind, but he didn't say it aloud. M/n stiffened further at the sudden burning of alcohol cleaning his wounds.

"F-Fuck-" he groaned, jerking away from Killer.

"Calm down, I'm tryna-"

A dark, gloomy portal opened across the room, and Cross stumbled out of it. His shirt was gone, revealing his entire ribcage, which had been cracked on some places. His left arm was completely dislocated and he walked with a limp.

M/n gasped at the sight and gently pushed Killer away, trying his quickest to get to Cross. He tripped over Killer, falling down. The sudden thud caught Cross' attention.

"M/n...?"

"C-Cross, you're hur-"

Cross stumbled over to M/n, eyesockets wide with worry. "What happened?"

"Boss let 'im go out and play by himself." Killer answered, hoisting M/n off the floor, steadying him by keeping his hands on his waist.

With M/n standing, Cross saw everything. Every cut, bruise and gash.

"What the fuck?"

Cross' knees buckled, leaving him with no choice other than to wobble to the couch and sit. He heaved a sigh, watching as M/n walked with Killer back to the couch as well.

Cross watched as Killer nestled back in between M/n's legs, applying alcohol to the cuts again. M/n instinctively reached for Cross's hand, closing his eyes as he reluctantly let Killer clean his wounds.

"Fuck, I hate this."  He groaned.

Cross never looked away from M/n's face. He held onto the human's hand, holding his breath everytime M/n winced.

"I should've been with you," the injured skeleton says softly. "I'm sorry for not being there-"

"Easy, Criss-cross. He handled himself." Killer lied straight through his teeth.

Cross' gaze trailed down to the largest gash, the one that went under his pants. He frowned.

"What happened to you, Cross?" M/n's small voice pulled Cross out of his thoughts.

"Nothing." He shook his skull. "I'm fine."

M/n reaches a warm hand out and lightly grazes one of the cracks in Cross' ribcage. He shudders.

Killer stands up, still between the human's legs. He leans over M/n when he has his face turned, He dabs alcohol on a gash that covered his shoulder and part of his neck.

"careful with yer hands, sweetheart." Killer whispered, his phalanges grazing M/n's throat on accident.

M/n shot a glare at the skeleton with tar black tears. He turned to face Cross fully, his legs sort of trapping Killer in place. He continued to wrap up M/n's wounds.

"Cross, honey," He spoke softly, watching the faint glow of his soul, from inside his ribcage. "It's oka-"

Purple tears started running down his skull. There was an angry scowl on his face. Cross hadn't been angry at M/n, oh, but he was mad at himself. Much like the time in his own AU when he had promised someone to keep another safe, unharmed.

He had made a silent promise to Sans- the original one. To make sure that M/n didn't get hurt, at all, beside the injuries he sustained from falling. Cross lurched forward, sticking his skull in the crook of M/n's neck. God, he hated feeling this. He hated feeling weak. He fucking hated it.

"I'm tired," He said, shuddering again as M/n wrapped his arms around him. "My soul is aching, I- god, im fucking terrible."

M/n frowned. Having Cross so close, he was able to take in the full extent of the skeleton's injuries.

"It's okay, Cross." M/n consoled him, lightly pushing him away to look him in the face. "Let me help clean you up."

Killer had managed to wedge his way out from M/n's legs, "yeahh he cann, he's great with his hands."

Shooting a glare at him, Cross grunted. "How would you know that?"

"I'm all-knowing." He shrugged, handing the first aid kit off to M/n. "Anyways. Stalk ya later."

With that, he was gone.

It was just M/n and Cross, once again. "I think we should start with getting your shoulder back in place."

Cross tensed. M/n sighed, nodding to his previously discarded shirt, "bite that if it helps with the pain, okay? I'll try to be gentle."

Cross let out a shaky breath, hesitating to take M/n's shirt into his mouth and bite into it. His soul hammered in his ribcage, his skull turning a flustered shade of purple now that it was completely visible to the man. M/n cautiously grabbed below Cross' shoulder, pressing his arm-bone back into its socket where it belonged. Cross grunted angrily at the pain, biting deep into the thin cotton of the shirt in his mouth.

M/n gently rubbed his shoulder, shushing him. "It's okay, Cross. All done."

He looked at the human and relaxed. M/n had a look of care and concern on his face. It calmed him, just a little.

He sighed heavily, M/n's shirt stuck on his teeth--Cross had bitten right through the fabric! M/n laughed softly and gently removed the torn shirt from his mouth. Cross blushed and turned away.

"Your blush is so cute," He teased, grinning.

Cross grunted.

Ten minutes later, M/n was finally wrapping up the last of Cross' cracked ribs. He was careful with his touch and was gentle. M/n could literally hear Cross' soul beat. Once the crack was fully wrapped, he placed his palm against the center of his ribcage.

"Nervous?" He asked, making eye contact with him.

"..a little. but only because you're so close to my soul- and this is, uh,,, kind of intimate." Cross muttered.

It was M/n's turn to blush. He pulled his hand away shyly, a sheepish smile creeping up onto his face. "Ah. Sorry."

"...'s ok."
