"No!" Mae exclaimed when they were informed of what happened. "I'm sorry. This is just... Big Eatie's already been through so much, and I practically raised Pierce. And now, Darius is stuck with that monster."

"I get it, believe me," Ben told her. "But they're tough, okay? They'll get through this."

"There's an underground med bay," Mae said, taking the tablet they had. "I didn't have access, probably because Kash is doing horrible things he didn't want Carla or me to know about. And on top of everything else, now he has my research. And now, because of me Carla almost..." She looked over to her wife, who was still resting, her body seemingly accepting the SM-6 serum. "How could I have been so naive?"

"We need another way to get in," Brooklynn said.

"Any of the feeding platforms should get you down to the lower level," Mae tells them. "The next feeding is in the desert."

"With the saber-toothed tiger?" Ben asks.

"So not 'not dangerous'," Yaz commented.

"We can handle that overgrown cat," Peter scoffed in anger. "We're going to get Darius back... and when we find Kash... we'll rip out his spine!"

Fury and Hill stood tensely in the control room, their eyes glued to the screen as footage flickered before them. The Quinjets soared over the lush, treacherous lands of Isla Nublar, a place shrouded in mystery and danger, as eerie signals pulsed from the island's depths.

"Approaching the dropzone, sir," came the pilot's focused voice, breaking the heavy silence and momentarily pulling their attention from the glowing screens.

"Keep us updated if anything unusual comes up," Hill instructed, her gaze darting back to Fury. A frown marred her brow. "Do you think anyone could have survived for six months on an island swarming with dinosaurs?"

Fury leaned forward, his eyes scanning the footage intently, a steely resolve in his voice. "I believe in many things, Hill," he said, his expression unwavering. "Miracles are one of them."

Suddenly, the pilot's voice broke through the tension, urgency lining his words. "Wait, what is that? There's something coming at the jet. Is that... a man?"

Before Hill and Fury could process the pilot's exclamation, chaos erupted as the Vulture swooped down, striking the Quinjet's camera with a bone-jarring impact with a monstrous screech. The screens flickered violently, the visuals warping into a cacophony of static and distortion.

"Mayday! We're going down!" The pilot's panicked shout fueled a sense of dread in the room.

"Evacuate!" Hill barked, her voice laced with adrenaline.

"What is that thing?!" The thin veneer of control shattered as they both stared wide-eyed at the unfolding disaster.

The screen still displayed the harrowing images of the man with vulture wings, a creature born from nightmares, launching an aerial assault on the empty Quinjet. Fury's heart raced, a mix of disbelief and intrigue swirling within him.

Hill gasped, horror etched on her features. "Oh, my God."

Fury's mind raced as he grappled with the reality of the situation. "What in the world is that thing?" he wondered aloud, the shadow of the monstrous figure cast hauntingly over the flickering screens.

Everyone started to head off to the desert biodome, leaving Jeff to watch over Mae and Carla. He seems to be doing a pretty good job at it so far, so it seemed like a good idea. They were running through the jungle when Yaz ran to catch up with Peter, the two of them being the fastest of the group.
