"What the hell?" asked Jake. "We agreed you weren't gonna do that! You disobeyed a direct order from your handler."

"Yeah, I did. Because that order was crap. I did the right thing and it's insulting to me that you don't see that. And stop calling yourself my handler, you are my co-worker and boyfriend, not my handler" said y/n irritably.

"Hey, hey. The baby can hear you yelling and it's upsetting him" said Charles.

"Shut up, Charles, it's a fake baby! It's not real!" shouted y/n.

"I meant me. The baby's a cover" said Charles.

"OK, stop. You're right. I'm 100% in the wrong. The truth is, I'm the one that's not tough enough to be here. I mean, watching the woman I love, unarmed, locked up with all these murderers. It's just too much for me" said Jake.

"Oh, my God. y/n, go to him" said Charles.

"I screwed up" said Jake.

"No, you didn't. I get it" said y/n. "Being a cop and dating a cop, it's harder than I thought it would be. It's stressful and I worry about you too."

"Oh, my God. Jake, go to her" said Charles.

"Look, I was just trying to keep you safe, but I wasn't letting you do your job. I'm sorry" said Jake.

"Why aren't you going to each other?" asked Charles.

"I think I have to take myself off of this assignment" said Jake.

"Are you sure?" y/n asked.

"Absolutely. You got this" said Jake. "Hopefully I haven't already blown your cover by dragging you into my office so many times. Also, I'm pretty sure quite a lot of people heard me say that your baby's blood type is 'OG.'"

"Yeah, you could have come up with something more realistic than that" said y/n.

"Mm-hmmm" said Jake, nodding.

"But... I think I know how to get things back on track" said y/n.

-----------------------

Later that day, y/n walked out of her cell.

"Hey, fake/last/name, you're late for your appointment" said Jake, walking up behind you in the corridor and played a hand on your shoulder.

"Stop touching me" said y/n angrily.

Y/n punched Jake in the face, causing him to place his hands over his face, before elbowing Jake in the stomach.

"OH! UGH!" said Jake as y/n punched him in the face again.

Jake grunted and fell to the floor.

"I don't need check-ups every two seconds, you dimple-chinned freak!" shouted y/n, kicking Jake several times.

"OH! AAH!"

"You're so tough and I'm just a beautiful intellectual" said Jake from the floor.

Y/n kicked Jake again, before looking at her cellmate who said "Hey, I love beating up doctors. Can I get in there?"

"No! He's mine!" shouted y/n. "All of you, back off! I'm kicking for two here!"

Y/n kicked Jake again. "That was for me." She kicked him again. "And that was for my baby."

In the background, Maura Figgis watched closely from her cell.

------------------------

The next day, y/n was eating lunch in the prison cafeteria when Figgis walked over to her.

"What are you looking at? You got a problem?" asked y/n.

"Whoa. Cool it, killer" said Figgis. "I just wanted to say good job on beating the crap out of that doctor."

"Oh. Thanks" said y/n.

"I like you. You got balls" said Figgis, pointing at y/n. "Maybe you should come work for me. I could use a bruiser on my crew."

"I'm not a bruiser. I'm a psycho" said y/n.

"Even better" said Figgis.
