"Nandini Please..."

I look in her eyes, I know I have got her, she took small step toward me, I smiled at her encouraging her to come, but my smile turned into horror, when she slipped and I saw her body going down.... A shriek left my mouth... "Nandini......"

"Manik...." I heard her scream; she is there she is there.

I slowed my steps, and tried looking down, she was down there hanging, holding a tree branch... I released a breath, I didn't know I was holding....

I looked here and there for something, that I can use to pull her up, but all in vain. That driver, he was there behind me wasn't he. I suddenly remember I didn't come here alone. I looked for the guy, but he was not there. I don't even know if he followed me till here or no.

"I am coming baby I am coming..." I was thinking what to do when I heard hurried footsteps behind me

"Sir, don't worry, I have brought this rope, we will save her..." I turned around to see that driver running towards me with a bundle of rope in his hand. My eyes filled with gratitude; this man has helped me a lot in these past few days. "Give it to me..." I took the rope from him and tied one end tightly to a tree and another to myself....

"I am going down; will you pull us up?" I asked him doubtful...

"Don't you worry Sir..." We both nodded at each other, and I slowly moved towards the edge and jumped.

"Nandini, give me your hand..."

"No, If I let go, I will fall down...."

"Manik, I will die...."

"No, you won't... I will not let anything happen to you... Trust me."

"Nandini Promise...." And I smiled whilst tears.

"Yes, Nandini Promise...."

She forwarded her hand, holding on tight, I pulled her to me.... "You are okay, you are okay..." I smiled kissing her head furiously, she was clutching to me like a monkey. I couldn't stop the tears coming out of my eyes. I could have lost her today, my anger would have cost me so much, if I was not here on time.

The moment we came up, I took her in a bone crushing hug and cried, apologizing for everything I have put her through. "I am sorry, I am so sorry baby please forgive me...Please Nandini, never ever do this again, don't you dare scare me like that...."

"I am sorry Manik, I am so sorry...." We both cried in each other's embrace.

I looked at him sleeping peacefully, hugging my waist. I have missed this Man so much, I can't even imagine how my life would turn out without him. Today I almost died, but he didn't let me. No matter how much I have hurt him, but he chose me over everything, why couldn't I do the same? Why didn't I choose to trust him instead of leaving without a word. I pushed myself more into him, while he snuggled...

"Are you awake?" He mumbled kissing my forehead, I put a kiss on his neck in return...

"Are you hungry?" He asked tracing my lips with his finger, oh how I wish to have those lips wrapped around mine. I nodded my head. And he started detangling himself from me.

"Don't leave me..." I stopped him, getting more closer if it was even possible...

"I am not going anywhere love, just going to order some food..." He tried coming out of my hold again, but I didn't budge...

"Okay, okay I will not go anywhere, at least pass me my phone so I could order something for you..." And I did that happily. He called for a delivery and again we both lie down peacefully in each other arms, lost in our thoughts.

"Manik, you don't want to know, why I did all of this. why I...." but before I could say more, he placed his finger on my lips to quiet me down...

"I don't want to know, what happened, we can't change that, but least we can do is to forget and move on. I know it's going to be difficult Nandini, but we have to. I have lost my daughter; I can't lose you to. And I don't want the repeat of today's episode ever again in my life..."

"But we have to give them some reason of my sudden disappearance..."
