Andre step forward with a big smile on his face.

"We can have the other matters on hold, everyone, because today I am announcing my successor, Chloe Bourgeois."

The room went orderless.

"Mr. Mayor, what do you mean by that? "

"Exactly what you're hearing. My political name is getting downgraded as of late. Looking at the circumstances, I thought of this solution."

"But sir, wouldn't putting her in such a position would not be controversial?"

"Well. . ." Andre looked troubled.

Indeed, he was known for his extreme usage of public finds for personal reasons.

And as of late the political view point of Paris is the strangest it has ever been: The divide in people, Hero's work being questioned, public dissatisfaction, and more.

In such a political ground, appearing another candidate for the position of Mayor—his own daughter at that, is really asking for trouble, is what the most in the room thought.

"Mr. Mayor, I really do think that you should reconsider your decision." The council member sighed. "She is certainly not cut our for this."

'Anyone but 𝘩𝘦𝘳', thought the council members.

In fact, the biggest reason of opposing this choice was the hatred against Chloe. Everyone there was aware of what kind of character Chloe was, although she has matured a bit before her coma, but Chloe is still Chloe. The always throwing tantrum, spoiled and rotten to core daughter of the Mayor of Paris, Chloe Bourgeois.

They can only think of the troubles she will bring if she were to hand this position.

It was strange for some members there. Most wouldn't think this deep into such matters like politics. The meeting did not used to be so serious, until recently.

What could've changed?

At such a moment, the girl in question herself raised her hand.

"If you all wouldn't mind, may I have a chance to speak in this matter?"

Some contemplated,
"Miss. Chloe Bourgeois, you are still a child in the world of politics. You are not even aware of a tiny thing us adults do. You should be enjoying your sweet teenage time with your friends."

"Mr. Dawell, although I am a but a teenager but I too have a bit of knowledge in the political ground, sir."

Her formal speech really doesn't sit right with mejority. Mostly because they themselves did't use the high standard of formal speech.

They didn't know whether they should laugh or admire such cute attempts of playing adult as they shared a glance among themselves.

"Really? Then what do you have to say, let's hear it." One just decided to play along with her.

When she is done with her play they can have their real meeting resumed.

"For starters," She stood in a professional manner. "My daddy is currently facing only the chances of falling out of favor in the public."

"We just had that discussion." One of them it her off.

Chloe kept her professional smile on her face.

"Next time, Mrs. Fort, I hope you will let me finish first before putting in your own opinion. Following the costume of basic etiquette from 'adults' 𝘪𝘴 something we children expect, after all."

She felt embarrassed and shut up.

"I shall continue now. So as I was saying, his favor has only just fallen down. It's still better than falling in the negative opinions of the people. If that were to happen, it is likely that whole party will have a finger pointed at."
