WE ARE IN THE SAME CLASS!
DAMN IT!!
My despair and soul-less self was evident throughout the next class sessions. History, maths, science, language. None was different.
At last on lunch time, I visited Miss Bustier.
"Miss!"
"What!?" She was taken back with my urgent call.
"An akuma!?"
"No!"
"Then why are you shouting!?"
"Why? Why are we still in 10th grade??? I mean I understand mine, but how come we all are still in the same class??"
". . . You came here to ask me that?" She sighed and sat back. "And here I was worried about another akuma attack or something."
Has akuma attack become a traumatic experience for such reaction? Possible.
I sat down.
"Sorry about that, but can you please tell me the reason for the year's recaps?"
She pit her pen down.
"The akuma attack, of course."
"Can you be more specific."
"Akuma attack. That's all it is. The attack that has been happening since last year.
Recently, the authorities conducted a survey and its results showed that the overall students' performance has gone down throughout Paris.
To make sure that students don't get left behind later in their future, all the grades from the 9th grade till graduation have been issued to be a two year plan. And our school was given the special follow up for being the top 10 in the list of 'akuma attack place index'."
"What's that?"
"The name of the report."
Well, the name sucked.
"And who came up with this idea?"
"The educational administration."
"... I get it. Thanks Miss."
"You're welcome."
I step outside the room with a straight face and lifeless eyes.
'This world hates me.' I was reminded of that fact. 'I get it. Again.'
Somehow after that, I made it to the cafeteria.
Took my lunch and sat alone on an empty bench.
For the first moment I glared at my food. With a smile, directed 𝘯𝘰𝘵 towards my food for a good while.
I don't wanna eat.
I slid my food away.
I don't wanna eat it!
I slammed my head on the table, completely ignoring the flinching Dupain-cheng and co. who looked like had witnessed a ghost or something.
I am having a headache!
"Here."
Someone placed a cup of hot tea on the table.
I turned to look.
"The bread with salad seems too dry. Have some tea with them."
It was Zoe.
"And don't go slamming your head on the table."
"What are you doing here?"
She just casually sat down beside me.
"My 'comalia' sister just re-joined her school and seems to be struggling to eat a single loaf of breed, how come I am not here?"
"'Comalia'?"
"For someone who just woke up from coma, comalia."
"I've never heard of such term."
"I just made that up." She made a funny face.
"What talent." I sat up.
"Don't sarcasm me. Every word was made up somewhere in history."
"Now you can pick up on my sarcasm too? The world turned upside down while I was sleeping soundly." I muttered. "Don't tell me you have picked up philosophy too?"
"No?"
"Or are you just high?"
"High? I don't think I'm that tall? Average at best?"
I forgot the concept of alcohol is not something the main casts talk about, even if it exists.
"Anyway, where did you get the tea from?"
"Mr. John gave it to me. He said that you might struggle to eat given your recent change in taste and struggle to eat so he told me to give you the tea if I saw you struggling. He said you would eat just fine after that. The cup, however, was provided by the cafeteria staff."
Am I struggling to eat these days?
I ended up remembering today's breakfast that I did not eat half the plate of.
I just didn't feel appetizing, that's all.
"He told me you are not eating bread, specifically."
Did she read my mind?
"Bread?"
I glanced at the bread on the plate. Still untouched.
Now that I think about it, I think I do need tea.
He notices these things too?
"Humf, My butler is really competent, after all."
"Yes, he is."
I took the tea. Thankfully, eating didn't feel like a chore after that.
The day went by rather normal after that.
When the last bell rang, we all started to pack our stuff.
While everyone else was in their own hustle and bustle, I was in despair.
In one single day, I found the long backlog I have to catch up to.
I was exhausted with just the thought of how much behind I was with the whole class now.
I wish I was in coma for the whole freaking semester!
I could have cried if it wasn't for the crowd around me.
The only thing that went well today was no akuma attack happened the whole day. I hoped for as such too.
I mean who wants an akuma attack on the first day?
I finished packing and slowly breathed in, followed by a slow exhale.
Now, I just need to reach home as fast as possible.
I threw my bag on my shoulders, stretched and sat up.
"We have an akuma attack!"
I sat down.
I slammed my head on the desk.
I'm not going anywhere now.
I wanted to cry real bad. Worse than the worst cry ever.
That was my first day at school from being comalia- I mean! Waking up from coma!
Why!? Why can't I get a single day of peace!!
. . . After a good time of my silent cry, being detached and unbeknownst to my surroundings and screaming under my breath, I sit up. Completely prepared to make a run for it.
It was night already.
. . . ?
Was I fast asleep??
I looked outside, and I kid you not when I say that even Light Yagami would have not predicted the next thing I saw.
. . . Why? Why can I see the earth from the window???????
I was in space.
The entire classroom, no, the entire building was in outer space! While somehow the gravity was still working!
How is this working!?
Physics!? Gravity!?!? Hello!???!?
