What will be the outcome of such a setting? Alix wasn't sure. One thing she was sure of however, was: how to make use of the remaining bits of the snake miraculous.
It was then a shout was heard from the school building and she quickly transformed.
After the September Incident, she has grown an instinct for dangerous situations and it didn't take long for her to understand that it was one of the, if not the same, situation making her transform into a unified version of snake and rabbit miraculous on reflex placed the loop in time.
How did that work? For the next two months after the incident, she experimented with the snake and the rabbit miraculous whose concepts were different but powers almost similar.
She couldn't use her Barrow to time travel anymore or see the future events but she could still dig out some existing past information; the ancient scripts and old literatures provided by master Fu also helped her, from that she understood some things.
First, there is a difference between the second hand power borrowed by a Kwami like Nuruu and the power directly given by the Kwamis like Tikki and Sass. To erase a Kwami's direct power the owl 'hero' had to do more than a fleeting moment of touch. Although, an incident like this was unheard of in history but there were traces of attempts.
Alix wondered why she was never informed of such cases by the previous holders even once before.
She also had a talk with Fluff where she was told that Fluff had always been skeptical of the existence of a hidden Kwami but because of how ridiculous it sounded no one would have believed her, especially when it was confirmed by the very mage who embodied Kwamis that there were no such thing, yet Fluff found those words rather hollow.
Although, it's still not confirmed yet that the owl was that same hidden Kwami but a power like that was something both Nuruu or Duusu could not have been capable of providing. Even none of the Renlings had any power related to erasing. It was something Fluff had seen for the first time in person.
Other things that Alix found was that the Kwamis embodied concepts, so if the Owl 'hero' was really after killing Sass then it would have to erase the entire concept of intuition, and that it is entirely impossible to do so. Also, that as long as the physical form of the Kwamis existed, there can be a way to use its power again, even if very minimal.
The downsides were that it can't be used individually. It needs back up from another power source whose basis is also the same as the lost one, which in this case is 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦. Luckily Fluff's rabbit Miraculous was just the right one.
The power of both the miraculous are the same at the fundamental: Time. While one looked after it, the other was capable of reversing it.
Ironically, she thought that it was lucky that the owl 'hero' chose to erase Sass's power, the one whose support was around. If it was anyone else's like Tikki's then the story wouldn't have been completely different. She even wondered if the Owl was actually even capable of erasing the powers of a high ranking Kwami like Tikki and Plagg's.
Another disadvantage was that Fluff's power had also hit the rock bottom after the incident when the entire Barrow almost blanked out. What she could do now was just travel in the present- a rip off version of horse miraculous along with being the only support for the sanke miraculous.
It took her five and a half months to develop this method alongside Master Wang Fu and Master Su-Han, where most nights went without any sleep. Su-Han warned that if Sass will get in contact with that Owl 'hero' then there's a chance it's power can actually be drained to zero even if it's physical body remained, a complete contradiction of what Alix initially concluded. Although, contrary to their fear that 'hero' never showed up again.
