Lucy POV
"Natsu! Where'd you go?!" A white haired Mage says, coming into view. "Damn. You guys can't do it. Oh well. Better luck next time." I say. My friends look relieved. "Lisanna! What're you doing here?" Natsu asks. "Looking for you, darling!" She says. "I think we should leave before I vomit." I whisper. She was literally all over Natsu. Though he looked like he didn't like it very much. "Hey Luce! Where you going?!" He calls out to me. "Damn." I mutter.
"Uh, nowhere! What gave you that idea?" I laugh nervously. He gives me a pointed look. "I want some cake. You guys want some?" I ask my friends. They nod vigorously and we quickly walk away.

TIMESKIP
"Juvia thinks that was very awkward." Juvia says when we sit in the cafeteria. "I know right. Gosh, that was sort of embarrassing." Levy-chan says. "Mirajane! I need to ask you something!" I call. She comes out with a surprised face. "Really?" She asks. I nod. "Has Natsu ever said anything about a best friend that he had when he was four?" I inquire. "No. Well I think he thinks about them because sometimes, he looks really sad." She says. "Oh. Okay." I say wistfully. "Are you okay Lucy?" Mira asks. "Yeah." I answer and take a bite from my cake.
The others also had concerned faces. "It's just, I thought he'd say something you know?" I say. "What are you talking about? Are you say you're his best friend from 12 years ago?" Kinana asks. I nod. "WHAT?!" They yell. I give them a small smile. "I gave him a bracelet that looks like this." I say, holding my necklace up. "Oh! So that's what it was! I was wondering who gave that. He only keeps things that others give him, not things he buys for himself. He never does that." Mirajane says. "I didn't know why you had that either Lu-chan." Levy-chan says. "Luce! I was wondering where you went!" Natsu says, throwing the door of the cafeteria open. "What? Why?" I ask. My necklace warms up again. Hehehe. I forgot to mention that my necklace warmed up when I was about to talk to Midnight. "Because I need to ask you something." He says. Lisanna was with him too, but she went over to the counter.
"What's your last name?" He inquires. I look at Levy. She shrugs. "Juvia thinks that Lucy-sama will be fine if she says it!" Juvia says. "Thanks Juvia. Heartfilia." I say, directing the last bit to Natsu. "Heart...filia... Lucy... Heartfilia..." He mutters. "Luce, did you give me this?" He inquires, holding up his hand. I nod. "LUCY!" He yells and hugs me. It surprised me. I return the hug, though a bit stiffly. I haven't hugged anyone since my mother died. When I step back from the hug, I notice that tears were streaming out of his eyes. "Uh, are you alright?" I ask. He nods and wipes his eyes. "Natsu! Are you okay?" Lisanna yells, running up.
"Yeah. It's just, I missed you so much Luce!" He says, looking at me with happiness shining in his eyes. Oh, I never told you about his other best friend. His name is Happy, and he's a flying, talking cat. He has a green backpack which he wears all the time. "Hey how's Happy?" I ask. "Oh yeah! He goes to an exeed school. And you know Wendy, my cousin? Her exeed goes there too. So does Gajeel's exeed goes too. "Oh that's great!" I say. But the necklace warms up more, ever so slightly.
