Wendy POV
TIMESKIP (a week later)
I only saw Lucy-san around Magnolia High, so I didn't really know her that well. But I sensed that she was a kind and caring person every time I walked past her. It seemed as if Fairytail had lost one of its lights, which made me a little sad too. I think Natsu-san, Mira-san, Levy, Kinana, Juvia-chan and Lisanna were the ones who it hit hard the most. I felt really bad for them. I didn't know how to make them feel better. "Um Mira-san, is there any way I can help you? At all?" I ask. "No Wendy, it's alright." She gave me a forced smile. "No you are not alright. I want to help but I don't know how!" I sigh. "You've got a kind heart Wendy. But you don't have to help. I'm fine." She says, not unkindly. I sigh again. I still hadn't had any idea on how to help my new friends. "Hey Wendy, how are you and Romeo?" She asks with a smirk. "NOOO! Please don't tease me!" I beg. She laughs. For once. "I know you two are going out!" She sings. "Mira-san!" I exclaim. "We've only been on one date, we haven't even asked each other to be a couple!" I continue. "Nonsense! I know you two are going out!" She sings again. "Mirrrrraaaaa-san!" I screech, embarrassed.
Everyone around laughs. "What's happening?" Romeo asks. "Oh no!" I squeak and hide behind Mira-san. "Go on Wendy, it's your time to shine!" She declares, and pushes me to Romeo. I trip and fall, but he catches me with a grin. "Wendy? I didn't know you were such a cluts!" He says with a smirk. My ears and face burn. "BULLY!" I screech and run away. His response wasn't to be heard because Natsu yelled,"YOU WANNA GO ICE PRINCESS?!" Gray shouted back,"HELL YEAH FLAME-BRAIN!"
"Wendy!" Romeo yells, running after me. "GO AWAY BULLY!" I yell. That got Natsu's attention. "Hey Wendy what's wrong?" He asks. I don't answer and run even faster, tears forming. "Romeo what did you..." I couldn't hear their voices anymore. "That was not brave!" I mutter to myself. "I guess I am a crybaby." I say, sitting on a bench under a cherry blossom tree. "No you're not." Someone says. I look up, startled. It was Lucy-san? "Lucy-san? What are you doing here?" I inquire curiously. "I came to give a message to Fairytail. Here." She passes me a few letters. "No Lucy-san! Please don't go!" I beg when she spun around.
"I'm sorry. I can't stay. I made a Contract. I can't run away from it." She says sadly. "Lucy-san I don't know you that well, but everyone who knows you is really sad. We need you!" I plead. "I'm sorry Wendy. Romeo is coming and I can't stay much longer." She says, tears running down her face. She disappears and I stare after her. "I'm sorry Wendy! I didn't mean to be mean!" Romeo yells. "No it's alright. I'm just a crybaby." I answer. "What're you looking at?" He says when he notices I didn't move when I replied. "I need to get to the Guild." I declare and spin around. Romeo looks at me, confused. "I saw Lucy-san. I need to get to the Guild." I start walking in the direction of Fairytail. "You saw Lucy? How? I don't get it." Romeo says idiotically. "I'll explain when we reach Fairytail." I say. He just nods and we head over to the Guild.
