Ch. 14 Damian's POV and Miks

Seventh hour went by painfully slow. Like when you're waiting for something amazing to happen and it seems that very minute goes slower then the last and even more so then the one before that. God! I couldn't stop thinking about her! Her smile, her voice, her personality, her lips.... oh dear god those lips.

I heard a knock on my door and said, "Come on in!"

"Hey there Mr. Faust," Cassy started as she walked through the door, "I was wondering if I could talk to you bout something for minute?"

"Yeah, of course why don't you shut the door behind you." I told her. She shut the door and walked towards me sitting in Mik's 6th hour seat.

"Ok, I know that you have thing for Mik. I've known you for along time and I've never see you look look at anyone like you look at her. Not only with lust but with love." She said in a rush. I couldn't help but laugh because she was so nervous.

"Yeah I think I do Cassy, I honestly think I do. I've never felt this way before. But I have to ask you a serious question. First though I need you to promise never to bring up this conversation with anyone," I paused and saw her nod so I continued, "What do you know about Mik's home life?"

"Well her mom has pretty much made her raise her little brother Jake. And I think but remember I'm saying think that Jerry, her moms boyfriend," she paused considering what to say, " well I don't know exactly what to think. But I've never liked that guy."

"Okay, thanks." Was all I could mange to choke out.

"I just know that for as long as I've known Mik, there's always been a part of her she keeps away from everyone else, she's always had some big secret that's she's never told anyone." I nodded and said, "Thanks, but shouldn't you be getting back to class?" She looked at me skeptically but nodded and said, "Yeah, I'll see you later." With that she walked out the door firmly shutting it behind her.

I was happy to hear the final bell ring, I wanted to get home and get some food seeing as I didn't get to eat lunch with Amy and Shy bugging me all my lunch period and it would have been rude to ignore them no matter how bad I wanted to. I want to go home and relax in front of the tv.

I passed Mik in the hallway but I didn't try to get her attention because I didn't want to cause a scene in the hallway. I plugged my headphones into my iPod and just kept walking ignoring anyone that tried to talk to me. I knew that if I staid after like most teachers do I would be force to deal with girls like Shy and Amy agin and I think 7 hours of that is enough for one day.

It's about about a 20 minute drive from the school to my new home. It's a big house and it feels empty because it's only me in the house. I checked my phone in the school parking lot and sighed because my uncle had text me asking if I would be able to pick him and his two friends up after they were done at a friends house. I guess it's a good thing that he tried to plan ahead but it pisses me off that I'm to nice to say say no. Oh well guess I can't go out with this girl Amanda tonight, I was kind of happy about that, the only reason I agreed was she wouldn't stop asking me.

After I got home I looked into the fridge for some food but I didn't see anything. I grabbed my keys to go to the grocery store, I figured I'd pick something up from the deli before I left.

When I walked in I saw it was mostly students working and I hoped done would try hitting on me, there's only one student I would date. After I got all the food I needed I went to the checkout line with the oldest looking guy because I honestly didn't think I'd be able to deal with any of the students.

"Here's your change, Sir. You have a nice nice night now." He said but he didn't try to fake a smile like most people would.

"Thanks you too." I couldn't help the grin that spread across my face. With that I walked over to the deli and got some chicken, joe joes, and an egg roll for the ride home. I absolutely love deli food. As I'm walking out Cassy comes over to me and gives me a hug while saying, "I'll see you tomorrow." I hugged her back, this girl is like the little sister I never had.

"Hey," I heard some guy around her age call, "hands off my girlfriend, get your own." I couldn't help but laugh in face before saying, "That's ok, you can keep here but since her cousin isn't here I have to say, if you ever hurt her you will regret it. Oh and this little girl right here," I paused to ruffle her hair knowing she would hate it, "is like my little sister so I can hug her." I had a strong compelling feeling to stick out my tongue at him but I didn't. Cassy rolled her eyes, trying to fix her hair.

"Oh, ok." He said laughing, "See you tomorrow Damian." Cassy called over her shoulder while pulling her boyfriend away.

I was skeptical about going to the store but I was glad I did. I walked out with a smile on my face. I got into my car and started munching on my egg role on the drive home.

After I finished my food and about half of a movie I got a call from my uncle.

"Hello, you ready to be picked up already?" I asked. Then a women's voice answered, "Yeah there ready to be pick up." She gave me the address to where they were and hung up quickly. I started the drive out there, when I got into the car I turned up my music and thought, 'fuck it', so I sang along. The song was Lips of an Angel by Hinder. I couldn't help but think of her lips agin.

Mik's POV

While they ate I went down stairs to clean up my room a little because they didn't like me having a messy room. After I was done picking up I went out to smoke and pray that this nit would go by fast, they had already started drinking so I knew that it wouldn't be long before they came down. After I put my cigarette out I walked back inside as they walked down.

I'm now laying in my bed in pain, just glad that finally the last one is done.

"Hey, useless bitch, come call Mikes nephew they want to go home some people actually have to work for a living. I took Mikes phone as he said, "It's under Damian." I couldn't help but think of Mr.Faust because I knew that that was his name too. Huh weird.

"Hello, you ready to be picked up already?" I Heard the voice of an angel say. Then i quickly answered, "Yeah they're ready to be pick up." I gave him the address to where they were and hung up quickly. God I need to clean myself up. I used Mikes phone to text Damian, * come around the back, down a hill and come in the basement door, ppl are sleeping up stairs* he quickly replied, *Ok, I'll be there in 2 minutes*

I hope they didn't mention anything about tonight because I don't want anther person in this. I went out to smoke agin knowing that I would have to let the nephew in anyway and needing to unwind. I didn't want to be naked when he got here so I threw on a tank top and shorts not bothering to hide the bruises for once.

Right as I sat down I saw someone walking down the hill, I didn't even hear him pull up.

"Son of a bitch!" I said once I saw his face, of course Mikes nephew just had to be the nephew. For once I was glad that the light didn't work outside because if it did he would have seen all the bruises and scars.

"Mik?" I heard him ask. "Yeah, if you go in threw that door, they should be ready to go by now. They know how to get out go the house." I said while taking a drag.

"Huh, never would have pegged you for one to smoke, but I'll see you tomorrow at school and keep this between us." He said while walking in. And you know my life being as loving as it is I heard Jerry say, "Sit down with us, one beer won't hurt." Damn this night could only get worse.
