Ch.16

Ch.16 Mik's POV

"So," Cassy started saying once she sat next to me on the bus, "You have no choice you are coming to my house for a party this weekend because Alex will be up and I know he wants to see you." I cringe a little because I'm lucky that Alex, Damian's best friend and Cassy's cousin, thinks that I tell him everything because honestly I tell him everything besides anything going on with Jerry and the boys.

"Come over today after school and talk to my mother about it?" I asked her knowing she'd be more likely to say yes if someone else asked.

"Of course of course," she said nodding and taking out her phone to text her mom I assume because she smiled and said, "ok, I have a ride so ima get off the bus with you and around 5 I will be picked up k?" I smiled and nodded.

"So, when is Alex gettin here? I haven't seen him in a while." I asked excitedly.

"Seriously I think you're closer with my cousin then to me and sky!" She said being over dramatic and I couldn't help bot laugh knowing this was true. So I just stuck my tongue out at her. We looked at each other and laughed.

The bus hit a bump and I felt my stomach roll. Weird I've been feeling sick the last few days. But I can't be pregnant because Jerry's the only on who doesn't wear a condom and I'm also on the pill. God that would be horrible if I was pregnant, imagine what would happen to the kids. I think it's just my side hurting though, since there was four guys last night I have five new cuts, one from each of them and on from myself. The treat my right side right between my boob and hips as a score bored. They have there initials carved into to me and they keep a tally of the rapes and beatings. I'm actually surprised that I've never started bleeding in school.

"Momma Goose!" I heard Cassy yell and I had to smile and ask, "Yes, Momma Sloth?" Yeah we are weird like that, she's momma sloth because well it's a long story and I'm momma goose because I take care of everyone. "We are almost to school and you know how my aunty Netty is the secretary? Well she told me that a new family just moved to town and they have a son that's our age! Isn't that awesome? Fresh meat." She says the last part while winking. I feel a grin spread across my face because my momma sloth is just creepy like that. "Agin, aren't you practically engaged to Josh?" I asked her rolling my eyes. She sighed and said, "For you of course, not for me unless you want a certain Mr. Hottie?" I couldn't help but blush and look away when I look back she's smirking at me. "I already told you I don't like him!" She just kept smirking until we got to school.

After we dropped our stuff off at our lockers we went to breakfast to find Sky and Andy. They were at the normal spot, but they had some random kid with them. Huh, guess its the new kid. We get our food and go sit with them, our group has gotten a lot bigger since the first day of school.

"Hey y'all." I say as we sit down.

Sky looks at me and at the same time him and Andy say hi to me I can't help but grin at them and they start laughing then Sky adds, "By the way this is Dean he just moved here from Wyoming with his mom and step dad." I turn to look at Dean but my smile fades as I remember him.

~~Flashback~~

I'm about five years old right before my parents split up. They took me to the park, from the outside we look like the perfect family but the fighting has started and they aren't speaking at the moment. Me being young I have no idea that this happening and I'm over on the slides when a much bigger kid pushes me out of the way and I fall on a little boy around my age.

"I'm sorry,"I say with tears in my eyes because the big meany that pushed me. I'm about to say more when the little boy looks at me and says, "It's ok, I saw that meany push you, wait right here I'll be back." I saw him walk up to the meany and punch him right in the nose. Then he comes back and takes my hand and we walk over to a women sitting near my silent parents, they didn't see any of what just happened.

"Mommy, my new friend needs a band aid, she has an owwy on her knee!" He says to the women who must be his mother. She looks at me with such love that I've never seen in anyone's eyes besides my father. After that we become best friends until my mother runs to Jerry with me.

"Holly crap Miky I haven't seen you in so many years!" I hear Dean yell and the next thing I know he's hugging me.

"Oh My God! You two know each other?" I hear Cassy say in her excited squeak.

"Yeah, before she left Wyoming with her mother she was my Best Friend and after her mom left my mom and her dad ended up gettin married and she got pregnant with the twins!" Damn this kid still has all the energy. I'm pretty sure I'm grinning like a fool.

"Wait wait wait, did you just say my father married your mother?" I ask, I'm scared because I don't know if I can handle seeing my father. I mean what do I say 'Hi daddy, if you wouldn't have let her take me, I wouldn't be raped and beat on a daily basis' hahaha yeah right.

"Yep, and their gonna be so excited to see you!" Dean says pulling me out of my thoughts.

I grimace and say, "I have to talk to my mother and stepfather about that, they don't like me leaving the house to much." I knew even bringing that up would get me beat three times as bad.

"They can't keep you from your dad Mik! He has as much if not more rights over you then she does!"

"What do you mean, 'more' he let her take me!" I almost yell at Dean.

"She took you and ran from him, didn't even tell him that you were going with her, you didn't see your dad after he lost you. He's spent the last 11 years looking for you Mik but she didn't tell him were she was going." I have tears in my eyes as I get up and walk away.

I'm almost to my locker when I feel a hand on my shoulder. I cringe a little because who's ever touching me is touching a bruise. I turn and see Dean. Mr. Faust is standing behind him. I sigh because I don't want ether of them to see me crying.

"What's going on here?" I hear Faust ask Dean.

"Just having a conversation that brings up, well I guess bad memories for Mik."

They both ask at the same time, "Are you okay?" I laugh and nod then add, "I will be anyway" they don't look convinced but I shrug Deans hand off the bruise and continue to my locker.

"What do you have first?" Dean asks me. "Ac. English with Ranger, how bout you?"

"Same!" He says grinning and I can't help but grin back I still feel a few stray tears on my face. "Ok, I gotta go fix my makeup but if you wait here I'll show you the way k?" He nods and leans on my locker after I grab my makeup bag, I don't usually wear makeup but I need to cover the bags under my eyes.

I walk out of the bathroom and back to my locker. I see a man standing with Dean. As I get closer I can't help but recognize the man.

My father, the man who didn't know I was gone until it was to late was here, I mean really here and now I have to see him. Damn could this day get worse? I look down the hallway and see Jerry coming towards me looking angry. Son of a bitch, I thought to soon. Tis should be interesting.
