It had been a few days since the incident and it had left Alex view curious about their mum.
It was a subject he had tried to ask lorenzo about in a little more information. But Lorenzo had simply shut the conversation down. Alex kbew not to push Lorenzo as he had set boundaries.
"I understand why you are curious but this is not a conversation I am going to have with you. All I will tell you is that she left with another man. She has never tried to contact us since she left. You are welcome to ask Rafael but please don't come to me again about her"
Alex was just afraid to ask Rafael.
He appreciated the approach Lorenzo had taken rather than flat out saying no. And Alex respected that. It did make him more curious though. Was he holding something back. Had their mum done something. Was she a danger to them.
Why else would Lorenzo refuse to talk about her?
Or was he just ignorant to what having a mother was like, was it a normal reaction to having a absent parent.
He decided to focus on spending time with James and Skye. Being able to actually do stuff together , they made rhe most if it.
And as time went on, the triplets were starting to relax more. They were getting better at leaving each other and doing their own thing.
Their confidence was growing more and more each day. James especially.
Skye was getting better at sleeping. The nightmares still plagued her mind. But she was no longer staying awake until she passed out from exhaustion.
Currently, the three of them were sat outside talking. They weren't doing anything in particular, just enjoying the hot sun and each others company.
Nico invited the triplets to play a game of football. Skye and James sat out but watched nico and Alex. Nico was a lot better but he played easy, letting Alex score a few goals.
James and Skye took to cheering Alex on, saying phrases like "go alex"
"Hey, this isn't fair. I have no one cheering me on, " Nico exclaimed dramatically.
The triplets looked to each other, this time, it wasn't because of nerves but rather they were amused by nicos reaction.
"Marco, come cheer me," Nico shouted as he spotted Marco.
Marco looked at them with distaste. He had simply been getting himself a snack from the kitchen, but their dad had appeared and made him get fresh air. He had planned to stand outside for a few minutes and then go back inside.
He approached them, ready to tell them no, but Skye had approached him.
Alex and James watched carefully. Alex, especially, he still felt the need to jump in with Marco.
"Or you could cheer for Alex, I think he'd appreciate that. "
"I'm not getting involved," Marco said bluntly. Although he had a smirk on his face as he realised skye had tried to manipulate him
Marco simply walked back in. Damn the consequences.
After some more time had passed, the game came to an end. Alex had somehow gotten mud over his clothes whilst Nico didn't. Alex made the decision to leave his siblings alone outside whilst he quickly changed.
Nico took a seat next to skye and James in an effort to bond with them more.
Alex was quick at cleaning himself up, he had just gotten downstairs when a knock at the front door startled him. He couldn't help but feel dread.
Skye and James weren't with him. He didn't know who was at the door. He didn't know if skye and James were safe.
He cautiously opened the door but slammed it shut when he saw who was only the other side.
