The lost triplets

chapter 77

She tried to get him to stay the night, but Lorenzo knew he couldn’t,  not with his mum there.

He had already been irresponsible enough, leaving his siblings at home just for a hook up with his girlfriend.

He adjusted his shirt, he wouldn't be seen doing a walk of shame.

"Another time. I have family business to attend" he said.

"You always have family business. We're together, why don't you invite me around anymore" she whined

"You've been in Paris for the past few weeks" he said although he knew she had a point.

"Exactly,  we should be making up for lost time baby" she said grabbing his arm .

He glanced at her hand and she quickly removed it.

"Another time, I have a lot going on"

He didn't feel bad for shrugging her off. They had an understanding .

They were only together for their own purposes.

Lorenzo was able to secure better business deals.
Before Jessica was in the picture,  he didn't see why it should matter whether he was single or not. He would get the job done.
Unfortunately, clients thought of him only as a man who would sleep around and neglect his work.
He never neglected his work, though, so he never understood why they thought that.

He found business owners who were in a relationship were more successful in some aspects, so he decided to get himself a girlfriend for his public image more than anything.

And Jessica was perfect for that, she used him for his money, she knew how he truly felt.

Lorenzo wasn't so cold-hearted that he would just use her and be done with her. They went on dates, and they did couple stuff together.

Lately, she was testing the boundaries of their relationship . And Lorenzo let her to an extent. 

They were spending more time together. 

But when she grabbed on to him moments ago, that was a no for him.

He did not like people touching him. Not because of anything traumatic, he simply thought he was too good , too important for people to act so casual with him. Especially when trying to get him to do something.

"I have to go" he said sharply.

"Okay, come back soon though" she whined. When she used that voice, it annoyed him so much. And yet he let her kiss him.

When he did return to the family home, he couldn't help but glare at the sight of his mums car. She was still here.

He decided to check on the triplets. He knew today had been a lot for the,  and it probably didn't help that he refused to give them proper answers.

He headed up to the room they had, he figured he'd check their room first, then their bedrooms.

He knocked gently.

It was Alex who answered. He looked so tired. So fed up.

"Can I come in " Lorenzo asked.

Alex just nodded.

Inside James was reading with Skye, who had her head rested on James shoulder.

"What do you want" James asked rather bluntly.

"James! Hes sorry. " Alex quickly said before Lorenzo could even say anything.

Lorenzo knew this wasn't Alex. Alex usually didn't care who he insulted. He made it clear what he thought.
