A few weeks later

Lauren pov

"You hungry baby ?" nika asked walking over to me and I nodded "i want some real food."

"I'll see what I can do-" I want a burger"

"Noonie" she straight faced me "And fries please, thank you" I gave her a smile.

She sighed "Are you gonna be ok her by yourself ?"

"Yes, just call me when you get in the car"

"Ok, I'll be right back" she said coming over to kiss my lips then she grabbed her keys walking away.

While she left I put on a movie using nikas aunt account that she literally doesn't let anyone else use. She gave it to me a while back but I just got reminded of it when she came to visit me the other day.

I've been in this hospital for a while, I'm beyond ready to go but tonight is my last night staying here so i'm excited.

I put on a scary movie deciding to watch the conjuring, I haven't watched a scary movie in a while because of nika scary self.

While it started the door opened and I looked over with a scrunched face thinking nika was back already but I seen my dad causing me to gasp.

He stared at me before slowly walking closer

"my heart.." I heard him mutter staring at me with watering eyes.

My eyes began to water also and I reached out for a hug that he gave me.

"i'm so sorry baby"

I silently cried into his shoulder and he pulled back wiping my tears for me. "what took you so long to come ?" I slightly whimpered

"It was hard.. it's hard for me to see you like this." he said looking all over me.

"are you ok ?" he softly asked rubbing my cheek. Again my eyes watered and I looked down shaking my head

"i'm scared"

"You don't have to be scared my heart" he shook his head "But somebody tried to kill me.. what if they try again ?"

"They won't."

"But how do you know ?"

He went quiet after I asked that looking away and I looked down at my fingers. It was silent for a few seconds until he spoke again

"I can't stay for too long, I've been really busy lately but your mother told me you wanted to see me" he said and I nodded.

"thank you for atleast coming" I whispered

He nodded wiping the rest of my tears "i want you to come back and live with me.. i'll hire a nurse that can take care of you while i'm not there and when I am I'll make sure you have everything you need"

I looked up hearing him say this and the look on his face told me he was serious. "are you sure ?" I quietly asked him.

"Why wouldn't I be ?" He questioned

"you know i'm still with barbie.."

His face dropped some and I looked away expecting him to take his offer back. It seems like his hate for her always overshadows his love for me.

He let out a deep sigh dropping his head "Why noonie ?"

"i love her.."

He went quiet for a second then looked up at me "you know all of this is her fault ? and you're telling me you love her ?"
